As the Registration date, Payment fee, Exam dates are been announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official websites of both NTA and UGC. After the release of the Admit Card, the examination would be conducted across India in various Exam centres and the aspiring candidates would be participating. This National Eligibility Test will qualify the well-performed candidates for the selection of JRF and Assistant Professor jobs in top universities and Institutions. The UGC NET result will be published by the NTA on the official website 

Result for UGC- NET 2021

The Result for UGC- NET exam will be released on the last week of October after the release of the answer key one week prior. The publication of the result will be notified on the official website of UGC- NET by NTA. The NTA will not publish the mark sheet. but you can download the softcopy of the result on the website.

Due to malpractice or any other reasons, the results may be with-held and not published

Before the release of the Result, the NTA will release the answer key to check the answers for the candidates. The candidate can check and finalize the marks obtained in the NET exam. To check the answer keys for the UGC-NET exam, follow these steps.

• Visit the Official website of NTA and click on the “Final Answer Key for UGC-NET 2021” link
• You can print and download the answer key provided.
• Find your answer in the key using the Exam Date, shift, Subject name and subject code.

How to Check and Download the Results for UGC- NET exam 2021?

Here are the steps you have to follow for checking and downloading the Result for UGC- NET 2021,

• Visit the Official website for UGC- NET
• click the “View results for UGC- NET 2021” option to redirect the page to the login portal
• Log in using the application number, D0B, password and captcha in the redirected page and click submit.
• Now, the screen will display the result
• You can view and download the results published in PDF format.
• Take multiple copies if you need and laminate them to ensure their safety as the scorecard has a lifetime value.

According to the University Grants Commission (UGC) instruction, the candidate has to obtain marks to the required cut off for 2021 to qualify for the NET exam.

The Scorecard of the UGC- NET 2021 will contain the following details of the candidates and exam results. Once the scorecard has been published, Please check the details without fail

• Application number
• Candidate’s Name
• Parents Name
• Category of the candidate
• Subject name and code
• Name of the Post Applied (JRF and Assistant Professor or Assistant Professor only)
• Marks obtained (Paper wise)
• Percentage acquired in both the papers
• Qualification status of NET examination

Cut Off for UGC- NET 2021

UGC- NET 2019 statistics describe that among all candidates participating in this examination, only 6% of the candidates have been selected. Thus the competition between the candidates is huge. So the candidates need cut-off marks to qualify. The University Grants Commission (UGC) defines the Cut- Off marks based on the Candidate’s category.

The Cut Off for the NET exam varies for each category. The minimum marks for Reserved/ General category to JRF or Assistant professor post is 40%. Whereas the candidates from Unreserved/ OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/Transgender/ PwD category have to score about 35% on both the papers combined

The number of candidates- The selected candidates are only 6% of the total candidates. Thus the competition is immense.

Category allotment- The number of slots allotted for different category students as per the reservation policy of the Government affects the Cut off for the NET exam.

The difficulty of the Examination- The difficulty level is pretty hard for the National Eligibility Test. Therefore, preparation for this exam is very important
