What is SSC CGL?

The SSC CGL Exam (Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level) tests are administered by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to choose the most qualified applicants for Group B and Group C positions. SSC CGL 2023 Notification was released on 03rd April 2023. The SSC CGL test is conducted annually to fill Grade B and C openings in government, Ministries, and Department positions.

Latest Updates:

  • As per the official notification released by SSC CGL, the Tier 1 Exam will be held from 14th July 2023 till 27th July 2023.
  • SSC CGL Notification PDF and online application link were published on 03rd March 2023. The application deadline for eligible individuals is 03rd May 2023.
  • The SSC CGL exam dates have been announced on 29th March 2023. The dates of the Tier 1 exam will be the same throughout the country.
  • The authorities have published the tier 2 answer key for the exam from 02nd March 2023 to 07th March 2023.
  • On 09th February 2023, the conducting authority posted the cutoff scores and the tier 1 result of 2022 on the official website.

Collaborator Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University.
  • Desirable Qualification: CA/CS/MBA/Cost & Management Accountant/ Masters in Commerce/Masters in Business Studies.

Junior Statistical

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University.
  • Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

Statistical Investigator Grade-II Post

  • Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with a minimum of 60% in Mathematics in Class 12th.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects in graduation.

NHRC Research Assistant

Aspirants must adhere to the following nationality criteria. They must be

SSC CGL Application

The SSC’s official website has a link to apply online for the SSC CGL 2023. Many applicants eagerly await the commencement of the online application procedure to complete the application form and get one step closer to obtaining their dream government job.

Application fees

The fee may be paid electronically using BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or with a credit or debit card from Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, Maestro, or in cash at SBI branches by generating an SBI Challan.

Candidates have until 05th April 2023 (23:00 hours) to pay the fee online. However, candidates who desire to pay in cash using the SBI challan may do so at any SBI branch during regular business hours till 05th May 2023, so long as the challan was created by the candidate before 05th April 2023 (23:00).

Follow these steps to apply for SSC CGL on the web:

  • Sign in to the SSC CGL Official website.
  • Get yourself registered by using email ID and phone number. Aspirants will get the registration number via mail and text message.
  • After clicking on the Apply option, you will get the application structure. Fill it out on the web.
  • Aspirants must check the size photo and thumb impression details to complete the application.
  • Pay the application fee online or through a Bank Challan, which will be created after you have filled in the necessary SSC CGL 2023 Exam application.
  • After enlistment, click on Apply to get the application submitted.
  • After double-checking on the details, click on the Submit button. Check the details thoroughly as the alteration process is not allowed most of the entries.
  • Download the filled-in application structure.

SSC CGL Document Verification

The submitted documents are needed during the application’s last check. The applicants should have a printed version of the online submitted records. The competitors should have their Matriculation Certificate, Graduation Certificate, Caste certificate (if filled), and other significant documents.

SSC CGL Admit Card

Applicants who have registered for the SSC CGL Exam 2023 within the allotted period will receive a digital admission card, hall ticket, or call letter that can be downloaded from the SSC website. The Admit Card for the Tier I exam to be conducted from 14th July 2023 will be released one or two weeks before the exam.

Important Notes

  • Tier I consists of Objective Type and Multiple Choice questions. Except for the English Comprehension paper, the questions will be presented in both Hindi and English for all papers.
  • The test will be conducted online mode.
  • Negative checking for Tier 1 is 0.50.

For Data Entry Skill Test (DEST), on a computer candidates must type 2000 words in 15 minutes in English. The purpose of this test is to evaluate a candidate’s typing abilities. Candidates are required to type an English article on a computer. The DEST Exam, which is administered for the SSC CGL 2023 exam, is used to evaluate applicants for the position of Tax Assistant (Central Excise and Income Tax).

SSC CGL 2023 Tier 1 Exam will be conducted in the month of July 2023, and candidates will be provided the necessary details of result dates soon so that they can check the same directly.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Result 2023 will be out after the exams are conducted. Only the overall performance of candidates in the Tier-II Examination will be used to create the merit list.

SSC CGL Cutoff 2023

The SSC CGL cut-off is the minimum marks applicants need to get to qualify for each test phase. The cutoff is released after completion of each stage/level. The cutoff scores are evaluated based on the number of applicants showed up for the test, number of released opportunities, the difficulty level of the paper, and previous year cutoff scores.
