The Candidates selected for the respective posts of Trade Apprentice in the IOCL will be paid a salary of Pay Matrix Level-5 later. In that case, the salary is prescribed under the Apprentices Act of 1961/1973/Apprentices rule of 1992 as amended and corporation guidelines. The amount of stipend payable to apprentices per month is prescribed under Apprentices Act 1961/1973/ Apprentices Rules 1992 and Corporation’s guidelines. Initially, the candidates selected for the post of Trade apprentice will get the monthly stipend amount of Rs.10,000/- per month.
At the initial stage, the candidates selected for the post of Trade apprentice will get the monthly stipend amount of Rs.12,000- per month.
Leaves & Holidays:

The leaves that are not used will be expired at the end of the apprenticeship period. However, the apprentice using these holidays are observed in the establishment in which the candidates are undergoing apprenticeship training.
Accidents will also be covered under insurance for apprentices working in IOCL. Certainly, this is one of the added advantages of IOCL apprentice salary.
The Certified Standing orders are also applicable to apprentice at the establishment, where they are undergoing apprenticeship training.
