What is the HTET Exam?

HTET Eligibility Criteria

To be able to appear for the HTET examination, applicants must meet the eligibility requirements. To provide an idea of what to expect in the upcoming HTET in 2024, a summary of the eligibility criteria from the previous year has been provided below for each level.

AMENDMENTS REGARDING ELIGIBILITY FOR HTET 2024

The eligibility criteria for Haryana government school teachers, as defined by CTET, have been updated. Individuals possessing CTET certification are no longer considered eligible for teaching positions in Haryana government schools. To obtain a valid certificate and qualify for these positions, it is now mandatory for candidates to take the HTET exam.

LEVEL 1:-

(which includes Classes 1 to 5):

The eligibility criteria for HTET Level 1 are as follows:

• Candidates must have a Senior Secondary (or equivalent) qualification with at least 50% marks and have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007, which were notified on August 31, 2009; or
• Candidates must have a Senior Secondary (or equivalent) qualification with at least 45% marks and have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002; or
• Candidates must have a Senior Secondary (or equivalent) qualification with at least 50% marks and have passed or be appearing in the final year of a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed); or
• Candidates must have a Senior Secondary (or equivalent) qualification with at least 50% marks and have passed or be appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education); or
• Candidates must have a Graduation qualification and have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
• Candidates must have passed Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or have completed Senior Secondary/Graduation/Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects.

LEVEL 2:-

(which includes Classes 6 to 8):

To be eligible for the HTET Level 2 exam, candidates preparing for the TGT exam should meet the following criteria:

• Graduated from the relevant discipline and finished a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or are currently enrolled in it.
• Have a graduation degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks and have passed or be appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
• Possess a graduation degree in the relevant discipline with at least 45% marks and have passed or be appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) that complies with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedures) Regulations.
• Have completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
• Have completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
• Possess a graduation degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks and have passed or be appearing in a 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

LEVEL 3:-

(which includes Classes 9 to 12):

If you’re getting ready for the HTET PGT exam, it’s important to know the minimum educational requirements. To be eligible for HTET Level 3, you must meet the following criteria:

• Degree from a recognized university in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks.
• Have completed a Bachelor of Education from a recognized university.
• Pass Matriculation with Hindi and Sanskrit, or Senior Secondary/Graduation/Post Graduation in Hindi as subjects.
• Demonstrate a consistent track record of academic achievement.

AGE LIMIT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR HTET 2024 

To submit the application form for the HTET, candidates are required to meet the age limit criteria. For the exam, the minimum and maximum age limits are 18 and 38, respectively. Candidates who do not meet the age limit criteria for the HTET are ineligible to apply for the exam.

Application Form for HTET 2024

STEP 2: Uploading Photo, Signature, and Thumb Impression

• Upload your photograph, signature, and thumb impression. Make sure you follow the specifications provided below:

1. Thumb impression: 10kb to 30 kb
2. Signature: 10 kb to 20 kb
3. Photograph: 20kb to 50 kb

• The photograph’s image dimension should be exactly 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).

Important Points to keep in mind

• When applying online for HTET 2024, candidates must provide Identification Proof and Number.
• The deadline for the application process will be strictly enforced, and late submissions will not be accepted.
• HTET application fees are non-refundable, and candidates cannot request a refund once they have submitted their fees.
• The candidate’s photograph, thumb impression, and signature must be in JPG format.

Result For HTET 2024

The announcement of the result will be done online. To access their results, candidates who have taken the exam can use their login credentials. The HTET result will contain various information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, marks obtained, category, and date of birth, among others. Candidates who pass the exam will receive an HTET certificate from the Board of School Education in Haryana.

Certificate Validity for HTET

The HTET Certificate, which was previously valid for 7 years, was extended to lifetime validity by the Ministry of Education in 2011. However, the validity of the HTET Certificate has now been reduced back to 7 years for qualified candidates.

The validity of the HTET Certificate will be determined from the date of issuance, and a person can take the HTET exam an unlimited number of times to obtain a valid certificate. If the result is declared late or revised, the certificate’s validity will be calculated from the date of the declaration.

HTET Cutoffs

The HTET 2024 cutoff will be published by BSEH in the form of a PDF on the official website haryanatet. in. It is the minimum score that a candidate must achieve to pass the exam and be considered for State government job opportunities. BSEH will release the cutoff along with the HTET 2024 result, and only one list will be made available.

STEPS TO CHECK CUT-OFF FOR HTET 2024

To check the HTET Cut off Marks 2024, candidates should follow these steps:

1. To access the official website of the Board of Secondary Education Haryana (BSEH), you need to open a web browser and navigate to their website.
2. Look for the “Information Instructions” section and click on it.
3. On the resulting webpage, find the “Cutoff” option on the right-hand side and select it.
4. Enter your registration number, password, and captcha in the required fields.
5. Choose the level of examination for which you want to see the cutoff marks (Level 1, 2, or 3).
6. A list of cutoff marks for each category will appear on the screen.
7. You can save the cutoff list as a PDF and print it for future reference and analysis.

Salary Structure after HTET

Upon selection as a TGT/PGT at government schools, candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,42,400, based on their job post. Primary teachers will receive a gross salary of Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400 per month, while TGT teachers will receive a salary of Rs. 47,600-1,51,100. PGT teachers will receive a gross salary of Rs. 44,900-1,42,400 per month.
