IBPS conducts the recruitment exam each year. Notification

IBPS released the official notification of the RRB Scale 2 Exam on 7th June 2021.  The notification carries essential details about the exam.  The notification provides essential guidelines about the registration process.  Aspiring candidates must follow the guidelines available in the official notification before applying for the exam.  Candidates must read the instructions carefully.  Candidates must go through the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam.

 

IBPS RRB Scale 2 Exam Dates

IBPS released the official notification of the RRB Scale 2 exam on 7th June 2021.  The online application process for IBPS RRB Scale 2 started after the release of the official notification.  IBPS has released the exam dates of RRB Scale 2 on the official website.  The prelims exam will be held from 1st to 15th August 2021.  Candidates who have applied for the exam will get admit cards three weeks before the exam.  The prelims exam is of qualifying nature.  Candidates who qualify for the prelims will appear for the mains exam.  The mains exam will be held on 25th September 2021.  After the mains exam, an interview will be conducted by the authorities to test the academic expertise of the candidates.

IBPS RRB Scale 2 Application Fee

The application fee is compulsory for each candidate.  Candidates who fail to submit the application fee will not be able to appear for the exam.  Given below is the category-wise IBPS RRB Scale 2 exam fees structure. Candidates can submit the fee online mode through the official website of IBPS.  Candidates who wish to submit the online fee can use net banking, credit, and debit cards.  The RRB Scale 2 application fee is mentioned below:

IBPS RRB Scale 2 Selection Process

The IBPS RRB Scale 2 selection process includes three stages.  The first stage is the online written exam.  Candidates have to appear for the online exam.  After the online exam, candidates must appear for the mains exam.  Mains exam is of qualifying nature.  Candidates who qualify for the exam must appear for the final stage.  In the final stage, an interview is conducted to assess the academic knowledge of the candidates.  The final stage is important to secure selection in the IBPS RRB Scale 2 exam.  After the final stage, IBPS releases the merit of the selected candidates.  Candidates who appear on the merit list can get a selection.  The stages involved in the selection are as follow:

  • Prelims (Online Exam)
  • Mains (Online Exam)
  • Interview (Offline)

 

IBPS RRB Scale 2 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the IBPS Exam, candidates need to fulfill certain eligibility criteria.  Candidates who fail to meet the eligibility will not be able to appear for the exam.  IBPS has released certain eligibility criteria for candidates.  Candidates must read the eligibility criteria carefully before applying for the exam.  Eligibility plays important role in selection. The authority does not compromise eligibility criteria.  To apply for the IBPS RRB Scale 2 Exam, candidates need to possess the following eligibility:

 

1. Nationality

Aspiring candidates need to be a citizen of India.  Candidates need to produce the domicile certificate during document verification.  Candidates who are subject to Nepal and Bhutan are also eligible to apply.

 

2. Age Limit

The minimum age required to apply for the exam is 21 years.  The maximum age to apply is 32 years.  Candidates who are above 21 and below 32 years are eligible to apply for the exam.  Candidates need to produce the birth certificate during the document verification.  In case the candidate fails to meet the age criteria his or her candidature will be canceled by the authority.

 

3. Educational Qualification

  • Candidates who wish to apply for the exam must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized Institute or University.  The candidate must have scored 50% or above in the graduation.  Candidates who possess degrees in Marketing, Finance, Banking, Economics, and Accountancy are eligible to apply.  Candidates must have at least two years of working experience in a bank or a financial institute.
  • The candidate who wishes to apply for the post of Agriculture officer must possess a bachelor’s degree in Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Agriculture, etc.  Candidates who wish to apply for the post of IT Officer must possess a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Applications, Computer Science, etc.

 

How to Apply For IBPS RRB Scale 2?

To apply for the exam, candidates need to visit the official website of IBPS.  Candidates can apply only through the official website of IBPS.  There is no other mode to apply for the IBPS RRB Scale 2 Exam.  Candidates who want to apply for the exam must have a graduation degree in any field.  Bachelor’s degree is necessary to apply for the exam.  Besides degree, candidates need to fulfill the age criteria.  Candidates who are appearing in the final year of graduation are not eligible to apply.  Candidates must follow certain steps to complete the online registration process.  After the registration, candidates can check the status of their registration.

 

Step 1 – Registration

  • Visit the official website of IBPS.
  • If you are a new candidate, you need to register first.
  • Click on the New Registration button.
  • Enter the personal details like Name, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Category, Address, Phone Number, Email ID, etc.
  • Click on Submit Button.
  • You will receive a registration number and password. Keep the registration and password safe until the time of selection.

 

Step 2 – Application process

  • Log in by entering the registration number and password.
  • Click on the Apply Button Link
  • Enter your academic details like 10th class roll number, Year of passing, Graduation details, Percentage of marks scored, Name of the Board or University, etc.
  • Click on the ‘I agree’ Button appearing at the bottom of the application page.

 

Step 3 – Upload Necessary Documents

Login again using the registration number and password.  Candidates must upload the soft copy of the following documents in JPEF format.  Documents submitted other than JPEG format will face rejection.  The handwritten declaration submitted by the candidate must read – ” I (name of the candidate), declare that all the information submitted by me is true and I will produce the required documents as and when asked for.”

Step 4 – Select Exam Center

After uploading the document, candidates have to select the exam center.  Candidates must select the nearby exam center.  The exam center once selected cannot be changed.  Candidates need to be very careful while choosing the exam center.

Step 5 – Application Fee

After submitting the application form, candidates need to submit the application fee.  The application fee is compulsory for each candidate.  The application fee once submitted will not be refunded.

 

Application Form Correction

Candidates who inadvertently fill in the wrong details cannot change them after the final submission.  Candidates are advised to check the details before submitting the form.  Once the information is submitted it cannot be changed.  Candidates need to be very careful while entering the details.  The name of the candidate should be the same as mentioned in the original certificates. During the document, verification candidates need to produce their original documents.  Candidates who fail to produce the certificate will not be able to secure selection.  Candidates who belong to reserved categories must produce the certificate issued by the competent authority.  The certificate must be in the format prescribed by the authority.

Candidates must keep certain things in mind while applying for the IBPS RRB Scale 2 Exam.

  • Candidates must enter the correct information in the online application form.  If any information is found false the candidature of the candidate will be canceled by the authority.

IBPS RRB Scale 2 Exam Pattern

The mode of the IBPS RRB Scale 2 Exam is online.  Each candidate has to appear for the online written test.  Both the prelims and mains exams will be held in online mode.  Candidates who clear the prelims will appear in the mains exam.  The marks of the prelims exam will not be included in the final result.  The selection of the candidate purely depends on the marks scored in the mains exam.  After the mains exam, an interview will be held to assess the overall personality of the candidate.

Admit Card

IBPS issues admit cards to candidates who have completed the registration process.  Candidates who fail to complete the registration will not get admit card.  IBPS releases the admit card three weeks before the exam.  The RRB Scale 2 exam will be conducted in two stages – Online Exam and Interview.  Candidates have to appear for the online test first.  The online test consists of two papers – Prelims and Mains.  The prelims exam was held on 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th August 2021. The admit card for the prelims exam was released on 25th July 2021.  The admit card was released online on the official website.  The main exam was held on 25th September 2021.
