The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is an organization in the control of the government. The organization was set up in the year 1992. Sebi Grade A is managed by Govt. The precise date of the establishment of the organization is April 12, 1992. The organization was set up in the accordance with the act named Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992. The current chairman of the organization is Shri Ajay Tyagi. The Commodity Derivatives Market Regulation Department is responsible for supervising the functioning and operations of Commodity Derivative Segments of Recognized Stock Exchanges/Recognized Clearing Corporations.

The basic eligibility criterion for appearing in the exam has two conditions namely educational qualification and age limit. SEBI Grade A Syllabus has various topics and it is different for both phases. SEBI Grade A exam pattern has two phases for the post of assistant manager. It is an online screening examination. Phase 1 consists of two papers. Out of the two papers, each paper carries 100 marks each. This is a multiple-choice question-based exam. There will be negative marking for the wrong answers. Each question carries ¼ marks.
All streams that are part of the phrase 1 examination would be general awareness. Moreover, this subject includes the questions from finances. English language, quantitative aptitude, and test of reasoning. And lastly, the General Stream that is part of the examination will include subjects such as Commerce, Management, accountancy, costing, finance, Companies Act, statistics.
