About JKPSC Exam 2022 

Jammu and Kashmir’s state public service commission known as JKPSC conducts exams for various posts in Jammu and Kashmir. In the state of J&K, the commission is in charge of holding government tests in order to hire people for various government organizations. The commission holds exams for several positions every year. The commission posts the JKPSC KAS 2022 notification for the recruitment on its official website.

The JKPSC conducts Combined competitive exams to three different posts, and three stages.

The selection of the candidates is based on their overall performance in written tests – Prelims and Mains, and interview round. JKPSC will select the final candidates for the different posts only after the interview round. The authority will publish a list of all the qualifying candidates on their official website. The prelim exam is objective-based, but the Mains exam is both objective and descriptive.

JKPSC Application Fee 

Candidates must pay the application fee on time. The application process will be successful only after the payment of the application fee.

JKPSC Eligibility criteria 

Candidates must check eligibility criteria before they apply for the exam. JKPSC will not consider any ineligible candidate. The authority has the right to cancel the candidature if found ineligible at any time of the recruitment process.

Domicile of Jammu and Kashmir 

Applying candidate must be a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir. They should also hold a domicile certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format of 12 April 2022.

Educational Qualification 

  • Must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university in India or a foreign university declared by the Government in consultation with the Commission to be equivalent to a recognized university degree. 
  • Say if you have appeared for your Bachelor’s Degree examination in 2022. Then, you must be able to provide proof that you had fully appeared for the said examination on or before the last date of filling the JKPSC Application form 2022 for the Prelims. In addition, you should have also passed your Graduation when filling up the JKPSC Mains Application form.

JKPSC Salary 

JKPSC has given the following pay structure for all the selected candidates: 

  • The pay scale of a JKPSC KAS is INR 9400/- to INR 34800/-. 
  • Grade pay is of INR 4800/- which is allotted as per the 7th Pay Commission. 
  • Along with a basic monthly salary, candidates also get extra allowances such as a dearness allowance. 
  • The annual package for JKPSC KAS is around INR 4,17,000/-. 

Note: Pay structure varies depending upon candidates’ positions. As they spend more years in their service, their pay scale increases.

Mains Syllabus 

Mains exam is tough and consists of several papers. Each paper aims to test a different aspect of candidates’ knowledge. JKPSC Exam pattern

Note:  

  • Marks obtained in the qualifying paper (English) will not be considered for the ranking.  
  • The essay’ General Studies and Optional Subject paper marks will be considered for only those candidates who obtain a minimum of 25% marks in English. 

JKPSC Interview round 

This is the final round of the recruitment process. After successfully qualifying for the interview round, the candidate will become eligible for a government post in Jammu and Kashmir. However, candidates must prepare themselves for this round as this is a significant round. 

This round consists of 250 marks. 

JKPSC Admit Card 2022 

The JKPSC Prelim exam was held on 31 July 2022. The admit card of the same was released on 15 July 2022. 

Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website of JKPSC. All the details of the Prelim & Mains exam will be present on their admit card. 

Admit card is an essential document. Without it, the candidate will not be able to sit for the exam. No correction will be allowed once the admit card is issued. Therefore, candidates must check all the details in the application form doing so will help them in avoiding any mistakes on their admit card.

How to download the JKPSC admit card 2022? 

JKPSC will release the admit card a week before the Mains exam. Follow these steps to download the JKPSC admit card 2022: 

  • Go to the official site of JKPSC. 
  • Click on the ‘What’s New’ section on the Homepage. 
  • Go to the link that reads Download Admit Card. 
  • Then a new page would open. 
  • Enter your login credentials like Roll Number, Date of Birth, or anything as asked. 
  • After this, your JKPSC Admit Card would be displayed on the screen. 
  • Download and print it for the exam day. 

JKPSC Result 2022 

The JKPSC exam consists of three levels – Prelims, Mains, and Interview. After the prelims result, all the selected candidates will become eligible for the mains exam. Similarly, after the mains result, JKPSC releases the merit list of all the qualifying candidates. Only the shortlisted candidate will be called for the interview round. 

The interview round is the last stage in the JKPSC recruitment. As this round is completed, the JKPSC will announce the final list of selected candidates on their official website. 

JKPSC prepares the merit list of all the qualifying candidates. After this, all the selected candidates are posted at different positions in Jammu and Kashmir. The commission will decide on the allotment of services and do it as soon as possible once the result is announced. 

How to Check JKPSC Result 2022 

JKPSC will release the result within a month of the Mains exam. Candidates can follow these steps to check JKPSC result 2022: 

  • Go to the official website of JKPSC. 
  • Click on the notifications tab. 
  • Now, click on the “JKPSC Result 2022” Link. 
  • Enter your examination roll number as on your admit card. 
  • Fill in all the other details asked on the result page. 
  • Then, click on submit. 
  • The result page will appear.

Cut-off Marks 

The Cut-off list is the basis on which JKPSC selects candidates for the next stage. The candidate must score 250-300 in the prelim exam. Only then will they be able to give the mains exam. 

JKPSC declares the result in the form of a cut-off list. A separate cut-off list is published for both the Prelims and the Mains exam. This list is used to select candidates for the final round of recruitment, i.e., interview/personality test. Candidates must score more or equal to the cut-off score to qualify for the interview round. The interview round is crucial. After qualifying the interview round, JKPSC will appoint the candidates at different posts in Jammu and Kashmir.

How To Apply For JKPSC 2022

Before candidates start filling up applications through online mode, they should have the following details/documents ready with them:

  • Click on the “show jobs” and choose the post/examination you want to apply for. 
  • Select the month of the advertisement notification you want to apply. 
  • As you click on the apply button, an instruction page will appear. 
  • Read the instruction carefully and then move forward. 
  • Candidates will see all the details they have filled in during the registration process. 
  • Candidates can check all the details carefully. Correct it if there are any errors. 
  • Then, submit the application form. 
  • Afterward, candidates will be redirected to the online payment page. 
  • Submission of the application fee is the final step in the application process.
