Jammu and Kashmir’s state public service commission known as JKPSC conducts exams for various posts in Jammu and Kashmir. In the state of J&K, the commission is in charge of holding government tests in order to hire people for various government organizations. The commission holds exams for several positions every year. The commission posts the JKPSC KAS 2022 notification for the recruitment on its official website.
The JKPSC conducts Combined competitive exams to three different posts, and three stages.

The selection of the candidates is based on their overall performance in written tests – Prelims and Mains, and interview round. JKPSC will select the final candidates for the different posts only after the interview round. The authority will publish a list of all the qualifying candidates on their official website. The prelim exam is objective-based, but the Mains exam is both objective and descriptive.

Candidates must check eligibility criteria before they apply for the exam. JKPSC will not consider any ineligible candidate. The authority has the right to cancel the candidature if found ineligible at any time of the recruitment process.

Applying candidate must be a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir. They should also hold a domicile certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format of 12 April 2022.

The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission. Suppose during any exam stage they do not meet any of the eligibility conditions, JKPSC will cancel the candidature for the examination.

Mains exam is tough and consists of several papers. Each paper aims to test a different aspect of candidates’ knowledge. This is the final round of the recruitment process. After successfully qualifying for the interview round, the candidate will become eligible for a government post in Jammu and Kashmir. However, candidates must prepare themselves for this round as this is a significant round.
This round consists of 250 marks.
The JKPSC Prelim exam was held on 31 July 2022. The admit card of the same was released on 15 July 2022.
Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website of JKPSC. All the details of the Prelim & Mains exam will be present on their admit card.
Admit card is an essential document. Without it, the candidate will not be able to sit for the exam. No correction will be allowed once the admit card is issued. Therefore, candidates must check all the details in the application form doing so will help them in avoiding any mistakes on their admit card.

JKPSC will release the admit card a week before the Mains exam. Follow these steps to download the JKPSC admit card 2022:
The JKPSC exam consists of three levels – Prelims, Mains, and Interview. After the prelims result, all the selected candidates will become eligible for the mains exam. Similarly, after the mains result, JKPSC releases the merit list of all the qualifying candidates. Only the shortlisted candidate will be called for the interview round.
The interview round is the last stage in the JKPSC recruitment. As this round is completed, the JKPSC will announce the final list of selected candidates on their official website.
JKPSC prepares the merit list of all the qualifying candidates. After this, all the selected candidates are posted at different positions in Jammu and Kashmir. The commission will decide on the allotment of services and do it as soon as possible once the result is announced.
JKPSC will release the result within a month of the Mains exam. Candidates can follow these steps to check JKPSC result 2022:
The Cut-off list is the basis on which JKPSC selects candidates for the next stage. The candidate must score 250-300 in the prelim exam. Only then will they be able to give the mains exam.
JKPSC declares the result in the form of a cut-off list. A separate cut-off list is published for both the Prelims and the Mains exam. This list is used to select candidates for the final round of recruitment, i.e., interview/personality test. Candidates must score more or equal to the cut-off score to qualify for the interview round. The interview round is crucial. After qualifying the interview round, JKPSC will appoint the candidates at different posts in Jammu and Kashmir.

Ans. The JKPSC will conduct the exam in the following locations:
Ans. The maximum marks for the prelim exam are 400. 200 marks is allotted for each Paper I and Paper-II.
Ans. As per authority guidelines, for the JKPSC exam, you must have your admit card and a valid ID proof. If, in any case, you do not have your admit card, you will not be allowed to give the exam.
Ans. JKPSC will release the Cut-off within a month of completion of the mains examination. Candidate should wait until that time.
Ans. The application fee for General category is INR 1000 and the same for reserved/PHC category is INR 500.
Ans. JKPSC has released 120 vacancies for the post of J & K Police Service for 2022.
Ans. The duration of Paper-I and Paper-II is 2 hours each. Candidates must complete their exams within this time frame. They will not be given any extra time.
Ans. The qualifying mark for the JKPSC 2022 prelim exam is 33%. Candidates must secure qualifying marks to sit for the mains exam.
