About NTSE Exam

NTSE notification is an awaited factor. Lately, in October 2020, the NCERT conducted the NTSE 2021 dates for stages 1 and 2. (tentative). However, the authority manages to alter the dates of the examination. Once the official notification from NCERT is released, the exact dates will be Out.

State-Level: The NTSE 2021 Exam Dates for state-level candidates in Mizoram, Meghalaya, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and also, Nagaland will be on December 12, 2020. Later, the exam will take place in all other states and UTs from December 12, 2020, to December 13, 2020.

NTSE Application Fee

Till now the National Council of Educational Research and Training does not charge an application fee for the NTSE (NCERT). As the National Level Examination will not require candidates to pay an entry fee. However, the state government has the authority to charge a fee for students who apply for the NTSE Exam. I.e., the respective States and UT determines the Aspirant’s application fees. Basically, the application fee submission is via offline mode if there is.

NTSE Exam Qualification Criteria

Candidates who want to sit for the NTSE 2021 scholarship exam must meet the NCERT’s qualifying requirements.   • Firstly, Candidates for the NTSE 2021 must be citizens of India.
  • Candidates in the tenth grade in any Indian or international school are eligible to apply. Indian students studying abroad can take the NTSE stage 2 exam right away.

Educational Qualification

To be eligible for the NTSE 2021 exam, grantees must achieve a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or an equivalent grade in each academic year.

Age Limit

The NTSE Stage I examination has an upper age limit of 18 years for both Indian candidates and students of Indian origin studying abroad.

NCERT NTSE Scholarships

As stated previously, the Central Government provides financial assistance to NTSE scholars during their schooling. For each level of education, the Government offers around 2000 scholarships. These are the stages:

NTSE Exam Pattern

The NTSE exam pattern is quite complex. The NTSE is a paper-based test. Candidates will get an OMR sheet on which to write their answers. The examination takes place in two different stages. Stage 1 is a state-level examination that will happen in respective state and union territory authorities. Candidates who pass the stage-1 test will be eligible to take the NCERT’s stage-2 national level examination. Indian nationals living outside of India would not be required to take the Stage-1 Exam and will be able to skip straight to the Stage-2 Exam.

Both the national and state-level tests follow the identical NTSE 2021 exam pattern. The Mental Ability Test (MAT) is part one, while the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is part two.

NTSE Admit Card

No official notification for 2022 is out yet.

Candidates can have the NTSE Admit Card from October 15 to November 15, 2020, by NCERT or the Education Department. NCERT, on the other hand, will provide the Stage II admit card on its official website in April 2021. Evidently, only those applicants who passed the Stage I examination will get the Stage II admission card. Candidates can download the NTSE 2021 Admit Card by logging in using their login credentials. If candidates do not bring their admit card, a xerox copy, and their original ID evidence, they will not get access to the examination hall.

The NTSE 2021 admit card will be available three weeks before the exam. To obtain the NTSE 2021 admit card from the official website, follow the processes outlined below:

  • Firstly, go to NCERT Website as the initial step.
  • Further, Look for the NTSE 2021 Admit Card on the internet.
  • Please include your “Application Number” and “Date of Birth” in your submission.
  • Then, click on Submit to further log in to the account.
  • The NTSE Admit Card/Hall ticket will appear on the screen.
  • Important information such as the student’s name, address, category, state of residence, photo, and signature of the holder will be included on the NTSE 2021 admit card or hall ticket.
  • Finally, Print the NTSE 2021 admit card after downloading it.

Note: NCERT advises candidates to take a photocopy of the Admit Card.

NTSE Exam Result

No official notification for 2022 is yet out. It will be notified here.

Some of the NTSE 2022 results are available online, while others are only available offline. The cut-off and merit list of selected candidates will also be out with the NTSE stage 1 2021 result.

  • Candidates can apply for Stage 2 of NTCE right away.
