About Fixed Term Employment

Fixed term employment is a concept at first, in which a corporation or an enterprise hires an employee for a selected period of your time. In most cases, it’s for a year but is often renewed after the term expires counting on the need.

FTE Payment:

During  fixed term employment, the worker isn’t on the payroll of the corporate. Under the fixed term employment agreement, the payout or the payment is fixed beforehand and isn’t altered till the term expires. However, such contracts can’t be given for routine jobs. it’s usually given out for temporary jobs. It can’t replace the existing employees if he or she is on an extended leave.

The contract is duly signed by both parties and is for a specified period of your time. In IT companies, sometimes professionals are hired on a contractual basis to finish a project. They might be absorbed within the company later when the project is completed.

There are a lot of companies in India also who hire an individual on contract for a year and make them permanent after the term expires. The corporate sees the potential of the person before taking on the payrolls of the corporate. This is often one decision that is taken by the management of the corporate.

Like every other agreement, even a fixed term employment agreement features a provision during which the employers can terminate the contract on certain grounds before maturity.

One of the prominent reasons might be the non performance or the individual has committed a fraud which was proved when investigated. It’s generally seen that workers who are under the fixed term agreement don’t get provident funds and a few other benefits as compared to employees who are on the payroll of the corporate.
