Railway Protection Force Sub Inspector exam is conducted by the Ministry of Railways every year. For the year 2021, the exam has not been announced yet. This exam is conducted for Railway Protection Force or Railway Protection Special Force. Recruitment is open for both female and male candidates.
Indian railways are divided into various zones. The railway protection force has its members guarding and securing railways in each of these zones. RPF SI recruitment is done together for each of these zones. There are no separate exams for each zone. Once the recruitment process is done, candidates can be transferred to any of the zones.
These exams are conducted by the Ministry of Railways. Railway recruitment boards fall under the Ministry of Railways. There are a total of 21 recruitment boards under different zones. There are many exams conducted by these boards that are specific to their zones and areas. Recruitment for Sub Inspector for Railway Protection Force is done nationally. The zones are grouped. There are a total of 6 groups for different zones.
This exam is conducted at the same time at different centers all across the country. Also, the candidates can choose from 15 different languages for these exams.

Candidates who clear the computer efficiency test move ahead to the physical efficiency test and physical measurement test.

The recruitment announcement of RPF SI for 2021 is yet to be announced. Exam announcement will be done online. Therefore, candidates must keep visiting the railway’s website for it. There will also be a physical exam and medical check-up for it. Hence, candidates must be in a good shape. Until exams are being announced, candidates must remain physically active and full fill all the requirements. For this exam, the physical requirements for male and female candidates are different.
In 2018, vacancies were different for male and female candidates as well.

Out of the total of 1119 vacancies, 819 were for male candidates and only 301 for female candidates. These were the total numbers, nationally. In different zones, these numbers further differ.
As mentioned, the exam notification for RPF SI for 2021is not yet released. This is a vacancy-based exam therefore the number of vacancies is also different every year. Vacancies for men and women candidates are also different and are not equally divided.

Recruitment for the post of sub-inspector in Railway Protection Force is vacancy-based recruitment. These vacancies change every year. Following are the few points to remember about the vacancy for RPF SI-

Candidates will be eligible for scale 6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission matrix after a successful recruitment process and training period. This will give candidates an initial pay of Rs 35,000 along with all the bonuses. This pay scale will be applicable across all the zones.

After these tests, document verification and a medical exam are done.
In physical efficiency test, there are the following tests-
Ex-servicemen, who appear for these exams, shall be exempted from the physical efficiency test. However, they have to appear for a physical measurement test.
Candidates who do not clear the physical measurement test or PMT are disqualified for this minimum height and chest measurement (expended and unexpended) is measured.

No, the Ministry of Railways has not declared the exams yet. Ministry may announce the exams in August or September.
There is no fixed number of vacancies for these exams. Vacancies change every year. Though there is a 10% reservation for female candidates and ex-servicemen for the RPF SI exam.
No, a candidate of the final year of graduation or someone who has given final year exams must not apply. Only candidates who already have their exam results in their hands can apply for RPF SI.
The minimum age of the candidates must be 20 years to apply for these exams. The upper limit for the age bracket is 25 years. But the upper limit for SC/ST candidates is 30 years and for the candidates of the OBC category, it is 28 years.
Candidates who would clear all the exams will be eligible to pay grade 6 of 7 central pay commissions. This would be around Rs 35,000.
The application fee for the forms of RPF SI is different for candidates of different categories. It costs Rs 500 for the applicants of the general category. However, for the applicants of the OBC and SC/ST category and all the females, the application fee is Rs 250.
The Ministry will upload the admit cards for RPF SI almost a week to 10 days before the exam. they will upload the admit cards on their official website.
Candidates can fill the forms for RPF SI online. The registration process and forms for exams are available on the website of the Ministry of Railways. These forms are not available anywhere else. There will be no declaration of availability of form on any other platform either.
Candidates applying for Sub Inspector in Railway Protection Force should have completed graduation from a govt. recognized university. Hence, those who have not completed their graduation must not apply for the exam.
Candidates can choose from 15 different regional languages for the question paper. Therefore, they can select any language at the time of filling out the form.
