FAQs

Q.1 How often does the UPSSSC test take place during the course of a year?

Ans. The UPSSSC examination for Group B and Group C positions takes place only once every year. The UPSSSC tests attract the participation of thousands of individuals who are hoping to get the job of their dreams. This year, the UPSSSC has scheduled 10 different dates for various examinations, interviews, and document verifications.

Q.2 How many different ways are there to take the UPSSSC exam?

Ans. The UPSSSC PET Exam will be administered offline, using pen and paper rather than a computer. There will be a total of one hundred questions in the UPSSSC PET Exam. You will not be penalised more than a quarter of a point for each incorrect response, and the questions themselves will be objective. There will be questions pertaining to General Knowledge, Hindi, Elementary Mathematics, Figures and Graphs, and Logical Reasoning in the examination. The written PET exam is required for positions that fall under Group C. You are need to have either a high school diploma or an equivalent credential in order to sit for the UPSSSC PET test.

Q.3 What are the absolute minimal requirements for participation in the UPSSSC examination?

Ans. In order to be eligible for consideration for this vacant post and to submit an application for UPSSSC, candidates need to be citizens of India.

The applicant has to demonstrate that they have completed high school at the very least in order to be considered for the employment.

  • Applicants must currently be residing in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh in order to be considered for the UPSSSC test; the lowest age requirement is 18, however, and the maximum age limit is 40. • Residents of other Indian states will also have their applications considered. Candidates who come from states other than the one in question are, nevertheless, generally assumed to be of the requisite age.

In addition, in order to fulfil the conditions for eligibility, you will need to provide scanned copies of your papers, provide correct contact information, and have a legitimate educational qualification.

Q.4 Is it necessary to demonstrate competency in both the PET and the Mains examinations?

Ans. Because there are so many candidates for such a small number of positions, the UPSSSC has proposed using a two-tier exam structure for the next examinations.

  • Tier 1: the Physical Efficiency Test Examination • Tier 2: the Main Examination, a Skill Test, or a Physical Test

For all Group C posts, the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Selection Commission will be administering the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test, often known as the PET Exam. The results of the PET tests will be used to compile a list of the most qualified applicants. On the basis of how well the applicants performed on this merit, they will be selected to take the primary exam, the skill test, and the physical examination.

The UPSSSC PET test is a qualifying exam, and in order to advance to the Mains exam, applicants who pass this exam must have a score that is higher than the cutoff. Every every post has a unique PET cut-off value. Downloading the PET merit list will provide you access to your score so that you may verify it. The result of the UPSSSC PET will be made available on the website of the official UPSSSC.

Q5. If you are in your last year of college, are you eligible to take the UPSSSC PET exam?

Ans. In order to meet the educational criteria for UPSSSC PET, candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have graduated from a secondary school or board that has been recognised as legitimate. Although a person must be at least 40 years old to take this examination, there are several exceptions to this rule that apply to specific groups.

Q6. What is the maximum age limit ?

Ans. The upper age restriction for candidates in the UPSSSC Civil Services examinations is forty years. These individuals often have between four and six opportunities to get a passing score on the examination. The UPSSSC tests have varying age requirements, depending on the particular service for which you are applying. For instance, in order to be qualified for the Assistant Conservator of Forest or Range Forest Officer Service, you need to be at least 21 years old. But if you want to take any other UPSSSC test, you need to be at least the required age, have Indian citizenship, and have the appropriate credentials.

Q.7 Is negative marking given in UPSSSC PET Exam?

Ans. Yes, each wrong answer will consist of negative marking, i.e., 1/4th of a point.
