The UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test was conducted on 24th August 2021. Because of the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the government conducted exams in two shifts for the aspirants. Firstly, the UPSSSC PET exam occurred as per the scheduled exam calendar. The candidates who pass the PET written exam are eligible for the upcoming Mains exam. The results for the PET Exam are expected to release in September or October 2021. There are two separate admit cards for the PET exam and Mains Exam. Only the aspirants who accomplish the PET exam are eligible to get the admit card for the Mains exam.

Since this is the initiatory for the Preliminary Eligibility Test for the UPSSSC selection process. The government conducted this exam in two shifts on the same day. The first shift candidates attended the exam in the morning between 10 am to 12 pm. Second batch candidates attended the exam in the afternoon between 3 pm to 5 pm. There were 20 lakhs applicants for the UPSSSC PET exam, hence the commission separated the candidates into two categories. Post the exam, the exam committee released the question booklet to the candidates online. There were 8 series of question booklets prepared for the aspirants namely, Series A – Series H. This series was different for both Shift-1 and Shift-2 candidates.
The UPSSSC application fee varies based on the candidate’s category. The application is accepted in both online and offline payment for the candidates.

There are three different eligibility criteria for the aspirants, namely
Age limit/criteria are one of the essential requirements that a candidate should fulfill. As stated by the UPSSSC board, the candidate should be of a minimum age limit of 18 years and a maximum age limit of 40 years.
The candidate’s date of birth should lie between 1st July 1981 and 1st July 2003. However, there is age relaxation for few category applicants, the below table gives the age relaxation details.

The UPSSSC notification also mentions the national eligibility for the candidates appearing for the UPSSSC exams.
UPSSSC notification always mentions the eligibility criteria points for the aspirants. Moreover, the educational qualifications depend on the various posts that they are applying for. The aspirants have to match the eligibility criteria with the position for which they want to apply.
The minimum educational eligibility for appearing in any of the UPSSSC exams is a passing certificate High school or Class 10th. The candidates can show the qualification equivalent to the high school. (If any). However, some posts in UPSSSC require more than a 10th-grade qualification. It is to be noted that the candidates who do not pass high school cannot appear for any of the UPSSSC exams.

The vacancies for UPSSSC Exams 2021 got declared along with the notification. As of now, the approximate vacancy list is declared by the commission. However, the exact vacancy list will be announced along with the Mains Exam dates by the recruitment team. There are a total of 20,000+ vacancies expected for the year 2021.

The exam pattern for the Preliminary Eligibility Test varies from the Mains Exam in UPSSSC. Right now the commission published only the PET exam pattern for the aspirants. The detailed exam pattern helps the aspirants to understand better about the exam and preparation for it.

The UPSSSC already published the admit cards for the PET exam. It was on 17th August 2021. But, the admit card for Paper 2 is yet to get released after the PET written exam results and in the future notification by the UPSSSC.
The commission releases admit cards on its official site. So, the students should check and stay updated regarding the notifications on the site. The admit card is downloadable through the online mode. The admit cards are never sent via postal services to the aspirants. Besides, there is no other way to have the admit card rather than getting it downloaded from the official website.
Essential documents should be there with the candidates when they log into the official site for downloading the admit card. The details including the registration number and date of birth are essential for getting the admit card. Besides, the applicant should not only download but also save the admit card for future references.
The admit card is an important document. Therefore, the candidates must carry them to the examination center. Otherwise, there are high chances of not allowing the candidates inside the exam hall.
UPSSSC PET written exam was completed on 24th August 2021 by the aspirants. The results for the Preliminary Eligibility Test are expected in September or October by the candidates. The aspirants who pass the PET exam with the mentioned cut-off marks are eligible for the upcoming Mains exam/Skill Test/ Physical Test.
The cut-off marks for the PET exam will be released in PDF format for the candidates so that they can download and cross-check their marks and names in the file. However, the question booklet of the PET exam was also released on the official website. Both the shit-1 and Shift-2 booklets starting from the series ’A’ to the series ‘H’ was published on 28th August 2021 by the commission.
