IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. It is a government autonomous recruitment body. IBPS conducts examinations through common recruitment program for all Public Sector Banks.

IBPS completes the hiring cycle for bank exams for four unique posts in particular

(I) Probationary Officer,

(ii) Clerk,

(iii) Regional Rural Banks Officers Scale 1, 2, 3, Office Clerk and

(iv) Specialist Officer for Law, IT, HR, Management, Agricultural Field and Marketing Officer.

IBPS RRB Clerk comprises three stages of selection.

  1. Preliminary Exam 
  2. Main Exam

There is a single IBPS RRB Clerk application for all two stages; however, separate admit cards are released for each exam.

Candidates need to clear the Preliminary Exam successfully. A preliminary exam is a qualifying exam for the further stages of the selection process. Successful candidates will be called to attend the Main Exam. Then, They would be given jobs on a provisional basis based on their performance in the Main Examination and the vacancies reported by the RRBs.

IBPS RRB Clerk Application Fee

The IBPS takes the intimation charges from the interested candidates. Given below is category-wise IBPS RRB Clerk exam fees structure. The applicant needs to pay the fee through online mode only.

IBPS RRB Clerk Eligibility Criteria

A candidate has to meet the age and education qualification criteria to apply. The following is the eligibility criteria for IBPS RRB Clerk.

A candidate applying for IBPS RRB Clerk Examination must be an Indian citizen.

Educational Qualifications (as on the last date of Online):

Candidate needs to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.

Post: Office Clerk (Multipurpose)

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.

  • Knowledge of the local language as required by the participating RRB/s.
  • A candidate who has a working knowledge of computers is preferred.

Note: A candidate can apply for the Office Clerk (Multipurpose) position as well as the Officer position. However, a candidate can only apply for one position in the officer’s cadre, i.e. Officer Scale-I, Scale-II, or Scale-III. Candidates must apply for each vacancy separately and pay fees/intimation charges separately. Candidates can only apply online.

How to apply?

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will be opening the online registration window of IBPS RRB Clerk in June 2021. Candidates can apply for the exam once the notification is out for hiring in June 2021

The application form will be made available at ibps.in. The steps to fill IBPS RRB Clerk application form are explained below. The application can be filled only by online method.

Application fee-

– Rs. 175/- for SC/ST/PWBD candidates.

– Rs. 850 /- for all others

Step 1: IBPS RRB Clerk Registration

  • Visit the official website 
  • Click the link ‘New Registration’ on the home page of IBPS
  • Enter name, phone number, email id, and security code
  • Upon successful registration, a provisional registration number and password are generated
  • The provisional registration number and password are also sent to the registered email ID.

Step 2: Upload Photo and Signature

  • Post-registration, candidates need to upload the signature, photograph, handwritten declaration, and left thumb impression.
  • Signature in bold letters are not acceptable 
  • The impression of the left thumb should be accurately scanned and not smudged.
  • The handwritten declaration should be in English only

Step 3: Fill the detailed application form

This page is divided into three parts, basic details, educational qualification & experience, and preferences. Check details below:

Basic details: In this part, candidates need to fill in the category, nationality, personal details, select exam centers, gender, date of birth, mother’s name or father’s name, address, etc.  

Educational Qualification, Work Experience & Languages: Here, candidates need to enter details of their graduation such as year of passing, college, percentage of marks, grade (if any). They are also required to enter their work experience. Candidates are also required to enter the languages they can read, write and speak.

Preferences: Candidates need to enter the preferences of banks where they wish to work upon selection. SC/ST/Minority candidates can opt for pre-exam training in this part. 

Step 4: Preview of IBPS RRB Clerk application form

Candidates must preview the application form before the final submission. They can edit the details entered in the application form while validating the same. Once this is complete, candidates need to agree to the terms and conditions and submit their applications. 

Step 5: IBPS RRB Clerk fee payment 

  • The payment gateway is linked to the application form. Candidates need to follow the steps below for making payment. 
  • Candidates can make the payment by using Credit Cards, IMPS, Debit Cards, Internet Banking, Mobile Wallets/Cash Cards by providing information as asked.
  • An e-receipt will be generated, after the successful completion of the transaction.
  • Candidates must print the e-receipt as well as the online application form that contains the fee payment information.
