The National Eligibility Test organized by the University Grants Commission is conducted twice a year by the National Testing Agency from 2019 for the selection process of Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor post on top universities and institutions of India. The NET qualified candidates are eligible for applying for many other posts based on lectureship and teaching and the NET score will be well recognized in most organizations. The National Testing Agency announces certain important dates of the UGC NET 2021 examination.
The students who aspire to teach and lecture in the educational field will compete for this examination. The exams that are to be conducted in December 2020 and June 2021 got postponed due to the pandemic. Therefore, the NTA decides to merge the exam and planned to conduct the exam in October 2021.
As per the announcement made on August 10, 2021, from the NTA, the registration has been initiated on the same day of the notification. Along with this notification, the admit card and dates are announced. The exam will be conducted from 6th October 2021 to 11th October 2021. The exams for the December 2020 and June 2021 sessions are to be conducted on these same dates. The candidates must register for the UGC- NET before the allocated time to participate in the exam.
The candidates need not register again if they have registered for December 2020 session.
According to the NTA, the exam session from December 2020 and June 2021 had merged and summed up the slots. The finalized exam date has been notified and is from 6th October 2021 to 11th October 2021.

The Exam will be Conducted in Two Shifts, the first and second shifts starts and ends from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm and 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm respectively.
The payment fee for the application is based on the Candidate’s category. The fee payment for UGC- NET can be done through credit card, debit card or e-challan. The paid registration amount is non-refundable. Candidates who pay through E-challan have to make the payment in the bank.

The registration fee includes GST and processing taxes.
The exam centres will conduct the NET exam. The candidates must go to the exam centres directly to attend the examination. The details and venue of the examination centre will be detailly printed on the Admit card. The announcement of release in Admit Card will be notified after the registration.

The candidate must bring the Admit Card to the Examination hall without fail. It is mandatory to bring ID proof for Photo Verification. The aspirants are asked to register for the exam by providing accurate details of the candidate and complete the process by paying the registration fee to avail the admit card for the Exam.
Please note the allocated exam date for your selected subject and the venue of the allocated exam centre. The candidate must not delay the exam and request for a change in examination date which is not possible.
