The Odisha Board of Secondary Education administers and coordinates the teacher eligibility test known as the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) (BSE). Qualification

The OTET eligibility standards for Paper 1 and Paper 2 in 2023 are as follows:

OTET Eligibility: Paper-I (Primary Level Teachers for Classes I-V)

  • A two-year Elementary Education degree(CT or D.El.Ed.) and a Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least a 50 percent grade average.
  • Intermediate (or its equivalent) with at least 45 percent marks and a two-year Certificate in Primary Education are required under the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Process) Regulations, 2002.
  • Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with a minimum of 50% grades and a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
  • Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% grades and a two-year education diploma (Special Education).

OTET Eligibility: Paper-II (Secondary Level Teachers for Classes VI-VIII)

  • Graduation and a two-year elementary education diploma.
  • Graduates with at least 50% and a one-year bachelor’s degree in education (B.Ed.)
  • Graduation with at least a 45 percent grade point average and a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program that meets with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Process) Regulations that are produced regularly in this field.
  • Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% grades and a four-year Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
  • Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% grades and a four-year B.A./B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc. Ed.
  • Graduates with at least 50% and one year of B.Ed (Special Education).

OTET Admit Card

Candidates who have finished registration and filled out the online application along with the fees will be issued admit cards by the BSE. This admission card will contain all pertinent information. These facts include the examination’s name, roll number, dates, venue, and timings. The procedure is as follows:

  • Step 1: Go to the official OTET website.
  • Step 2: You will see a “Examination Tab” there. After that, for the examination, click on the link.

OTET Exam Pattern

The OTET test consists of two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Each paper is awarded 150 points and takes 2.5 hours to complete. Each paper will be reviewed independently (pen and paper-based). The OTET test pattern’s questions in number and marking method are listed below.

OTET Result

The Odisha TET 2023 result will be available on the official Odisha TET website on 31st August 2023. Before the results are presented on the screen and printed, candidates must provide all of their data, like their roll number and date of birth. Applicants who score higher than the required marks will receive the Odisha TET certification.

OTET Cutoffs 2022

The OTET 2023 will also release the cut-off marks online,  along with the outcomes. Minimum marks must be obtained by applicants to be eligible for the examination. The number of candidates, the complexity of the exam, the categorization, and other criteria will all influence the cutoff. Applicants that achieve the required minimum aggregate marks will move to the next stage.

The qualifying marks for each of the exams will be calculated according to the results of all competing applicants for each test taken combined up to a certain level. The cutoff percentage for different categories is shown below:

OTET Salary Structure
