Required Documents

The documents required to fill out the KTET 2025 application form are photographs, a photo identity, and a scanned signature of the candidate.

  • The photograph should be scanned. It must be recent and not more than 6 months old. The background should be white. Size in pixels: Max. 240 X 320 and Min: 480 X 640. File size: 50kb – 100kb.
  • The signature should be scanned inside a rectangular box. Size: 7 X 2. The size of the scanned sign in pixels: Max 560 X 160 and Min: 280 X 80. The file size of the scanned signature is 20kb-50kb

Application fees

The application fee for the candidates who belong to the unreserved category is Rs. 500/-. However, the application fee for the SC/ ST/ PWD categories is Rs. 250/-. The payment procedure for the application fees for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test Exam 2025 is very easy. A student can pay it online mode. He/ she can pay through a Debit card/Credit card or Net Banking. After paying the fees, the student will print out the application form. However, this is the most common fee for all the exams.

A candidate can visit the official website to check the required eligibility for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test Exam 2025.

Age

The lower age limit for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test Exam 2025 is 21. There is no upper age limit for the KTET Exam 2025. Therefore, a candidate who is 21 years or older can take this exam.

Qualifications

Any student with any eligibility mentioned on the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test 2025 official notification is eligible to fill out the application form. The student should check if they are qualified to fill out the form. The qualifications for all four categories are different and are mentioned below.

Category-1 (Primary Section)

  • A student must have a minimum of 45% in the Secondary Standard (10th) and the Higher Secondary (12th) standard. He/ she must have a certificate of trained teacher(TTC) conducted by the Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.
  • Or, a student must have a minimum of 45% in the Secondary Standard (10th) and the Higher Secondary (12th) standard. He/ she must have a Diploma of two years in Elementary education under the recognition of the NCTE.
  • Or, a student must have a minimum of 50% in the Secondary Standard (10th) and the Higher Secondary (12th) standard. The student must have 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) degree.
  • Or, a student must have a minimum of 50% in the Secondary Standard (10th) and the Higher Secondary (12th) standard. The student must have a two-year diploma in special education.
  • There will be a relaxation of marks of 5% for the SC/ ST/ PwD category students. For the OBC category students, the relaxation of marks is 3%.

Category-2 (Upper Primary Section)

  • A student must have a BSc/ Bcom/ BA degree from a recognized university or institute. The student must have secured a two-year Diploma in elementary education/TTC.
  • A student must have a BSc/ Bcom/ BA degree from a recognized university or institute with a minimum of 45% marks. The student must have one year in B.Ed as per NCTE.
  • A student must have a minimum of 50% in the Higher Secondary (12th) standard and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEIED) degree from a recognized university or institute.
  • A student must have a minimum of 50% in the Higher Secondary (12th) standard and a 4-year degree in BA/ B.Sc.Ed from a recognized university or institute.
  • There will be a relaxation of marks of 5% for the SC/ ST/ PwD category students. For the OBC category students, the relaxation of marks is 3%.

Category-3 (High School Section)

  • A student must have a BSc/ Bcom/ BA degree from a recognized university or institute with a minimum of 45% marks. The student must have a B.Ed degree in a selected subject.
  • Students applying for Physics, Mathematics, Botany, and Zoology need an MSc Ed Degree. They should have a minimum of 50% marks in MSc. The degree should be under NCERT.
  • A student must have a minimum of 45% marks in BA or any equivalent degree from a recognized university or institute. The student must pass LTTC to be eligible.
  • There will be a relaxation of marks of 5% for the SC/ ST/ PwD category students. For the OBC category students, the relaxation of marks is 3%.

Additional qualifications

  • A candidate with a Diploma/ Degree of teaching in any subject approved by NCTE/ Board of Examinations/ Govt. of Kerala is eligible to apply for the KTET 2025.
  • A candidate with a certificate or degree from a recognized university or institute in Kerala is eligible. The degree can be from open universities.

Category-IV

  • A candidate with all the qualifications mentioned in Chapter XXXI of the KERALA EDUCATION ACT AND RULES is eligible to apply for KTET 2025.
  • There will be a relaxation of marks of 5% for the SC/ ST/ PwD category students. For the OBC category students, the relaxation of marks is 3%.

Nationality / Citizenship

Any candidate who is an Indian citizen can take part in the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 exam.

KTET Admit Card

The Kerala State Education Board (KSEB) will provide the admit cards to eligible candidates for all the exams. Those admit cards will be uploaded on the Kerala State Education Board (KSEB) website before the KTET 2024 exam.

Admit Card Details

Admit cards for the exam is not released yet. The KTET Admit Card will be released around one week before the examination. All eligible candidates need to download the admit card before the examination. Any candidate cannot attend the examination without an admit card.

Admit Card will tell the candidate about the date of the exam. Also, the examination center will be provided with the admit card. The students will use their application numbers. They will log in with their application number and download the admit card. Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test Admit Card will have Candidate’s Name, Photograph, Test Center, Signature, Roll Number, Address, and Test Schedule.

After successfully downloading the Admit Card, a candidate needs to check whether the details printed on the Admit Card are correct or not. If the KTET 2025 Examination admit cards are not accessible on the website, the applicant should get advice from the Board’s Office with a photocopy of the confirmation page.

A candidate must bring a photo identity before entering the exam center. Any of these documents will work as a photo identity. Those are Aadhar card/ Voter ID/ PAN card/ Passport/ Driver’s license/ Service ID/ 10th mark sheet/ 12th mark sheet,/ Graduation Degree certificate.

  1. First, the candidate needs to visit the official website of the Kerala State Education Board (KSEB).
  2. Here, the candidate can see the ‘KTET Admit Card 2025’ option at the bottom of the home page and the candidate has to click on it.
  3. After that, the candidate has to enter the registration ID/roll number and the password, as mentioned.
  4. Then, the KTET 2025 Admit Card will appear on the screen.

Exam Centre Details

The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test 2025 Exam will be conducted in different exam centers all over Kerala.
