The State Bank of India Probationary Officers exam (SBI PO 2022) has been announced via a notification on 21st September 2022 on the official website for SBI. The SBI PO Prelims syllabus will have three sections – English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The overall time given to complete the prelim exam is 60 minutes.

The SBI PO Mains syllabus for Objective Test includes – Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, and English Language. The overall time given to complete the objective test is 180 minutes.

SBI PO Exam Syllabus 

The State Bank of India has three phases of the recruitment process for probationary officers. The online exams have objective multiple-choice questions. The syllabus and topics for prelims and main exams have similar topics and subjects. 

  • Prelims Exam – A qualifying exam for candidates to secure marks that would qualify them for the mains exam 
  • Mains Exam – There will be 75 percentage of weightage for marks scored in the mains exam and 25 percentage of weightage for personal interview for the selection in the final merit list for the post of provisional officer.

SBI PO Negative Marking

If a question is left blank, no penalty will be imposed. If you make an error in any of your answers on the Objective Test, 1/4th (0.25) of the allotted points for that question will be subtracted from your final score.
