Overall the Indian Bank PO Results are calculated on the basis of the three stages. The Indian Bank PO exam takes place in three stages:-

  1. Preliminary Exam
  2. Mains Exam
  3. Interview Round

In addition, it’s mandatory to pass all three stages to be eligible for the post of probationary officer. Firstly the candidate has to qualify for the Preliminary examination which will have 100 questions. After this, the candidate needs to pass this exam to appear in the mains exam. In short, the conducting body releases the Indian Bank PO Result of both the prelims and the main exam on the Indian Bank’s official website.

Additionally, the Indian bank PO Result gets released within seven days of the exam. However, the results are released in scorecard format. Moreover, the scorecard has scores of the candidate in different sections and also an overall score. In addition, there are two cut-offs that Indian Bank publishes. One is a section-wise cut-off, and the other is an overall cut-off. Thus, candidates need to clear both cut-offs to proceed to the next stage, i.e., Mains Exam.

Likewise, the main exam results are also released on the website, and Indian Bank will release cut-offs. Also, candidates who clear the cut-offs will sit in the interview round.  Meanwhile, after the interview round, a merit list gets published by the Indian Bank. Overall, the merit list has a combined score of 3 rounds. Therefore, the weightage of Prelim & Main (counted together) and the interview will be 80:20, respectively. 

Hence, based on the Indian Bank PO Result, the candidate receives their provisional allotment letter for their post of Probationary Officer in the branch of the Indian Bank. However, before being posted as a probationary officer, candidates must complete a 1-year PGDBF course at Indian Bank and Manipal School of Banking.

How do I check the Indian Bank PO Result?

The Indian bank releases the results on its official website of Indian Bank. However, Indian Bank announces the results date in the official notification on the website. 

Candidates need to follow the steps below:-

1: Open the official website of Indian Bank, i.e., indianbank.in.

2: Meanwhile, visit the go-to “Careers” section and click on “Indian Bank PO Result.”

3: Enter your Registration/Roll number to view the results. 

4: Results will get displayed on the screen. Applicants can take a printout of the results.

Candidates may have to log in using the roll number and Date of Birth. Then, follow the procedure and guidelines mentioned on the website to download the result.

Cut-off Marks

Cut-off marks are the minimum score and are dependent on the Indian Bank PO Result. Therefore, a candidate needs to obtain to qualify for the next round. Meanwhile, Indian Bank releases the cut-off marks along with the results. Indian Bank releases two cut-offs. The first is a section-wise cut-off, and the other hand is an overall cut-off.  Hence, the section-wise cut-off is the minimum mark that a candidate should get to sit in the next round. The general cut-off is the cumulative score that a candidate should obtain to qualify for the next round. Most importantly, applicants need to clear both cut-offs to be eligible for the next round. 

Cut-off depends on certain factors like:-

  1. Number of Applicants.
  2. The total number of vacancies.
  3. Level of difficulty of the exam.
  4. Performance of the candidates.

However, the cut-off marks are separate for general category applicants and applicants from reserved categories. 

The Indian Bank PO exam was last held in 2018. Since then, there has been no recruitment for the post of probationary officer.
