UPSC releases admit cards separately for every IES exam stage. As the IES prelims exam is over, its admit cards were available three weeks before this exam. Now, the upcoming exams are the IES main’s exams. Therefore, UPSC will soon release the IES admit cards for this stage.   Furthermore, all candidates must download these admit cards as they act as an entry pass for each stage. To do this thing, candidates must keep track of all the notifications regarding the same. Once the IES notification is out, candidates can download their IES admit cards from the official website. For this purpose, candidates must log in to their accounts with the correct details. Furthermore, candidates can take a printout for future reference.

How to Download IES Admit Cards?

UPSC releases the IES admit cards on its official website separately for each stage. These exams admit cards are only available online mode on their website. Candidates can thus download it from there. Moreover, candidates can download admit cards on any working mobile device/ laptop/ computer. Here is the stepwise process to download IES exam admit cards:

  • In the first step, candidates must visit the UPSC’s official website. Here is the link to the UPSC website to download the IES admit card for different stages upsc.gov.in. 
  • Then in the second step, candidates must look for the examination section on the same website. Further, click on “Active examination.”
  • Furthermore, candidates will find a link for IES Examination. Candidates must click on it. Later a link for admit card download will appear on their screens.
  • Then, the candidates must click on the Yes option available there. This one is the instructions page of the admit card.
  • After clicking on the ‘Yes’ option, candidates’ must then enter their details. These details are candidates’ roll numbers or candidates’ registration numbers.
  • The next step is to click on submit option available there on the screen. Candidates can thus view their admit cards
  • In the last step, admit card for the IES exam will appear. Finally, the candidates must further click on it and download it as well. They must also take its printout for further reference.

Details Available on IES Admit Card

Admit cards are must for a candidates to enter any exam center. Therefore, candidates must carry it with themselves. Moreover, there are some important details available on the IES admit cards. Here are some details:

  • Firstly, the IES roll number.
  • Secondly, the candidate’s name.
  • Thirdly, exam center details. 
  • Then, the IES hall ticket number is also there
  • Also, the candidate’s application number is available.
  • Moreover, candidates subject of exam is also mentioned there.
  • Next, comes the name of the exam venue.
  • The date of the exam and its timing are also written.
  • Furthermore, candidates photograph and signature is also there.

Documents to Carry with Admit Card

Following are the documents candidates must carry:

  • The first and most important IES admit card.
  • Also, identity proof like Aadhar card, voter ID card, passport, driving license, or PAN card. 

General Exam Instructions Mentioned on Admit Card

Some of the instructions given on the IES admit cards are:

  • The UPSC has made some changes in its admit cards this year. The identity card number of the candidate is present on their admit cards. The ID proof number was provided by the students to the UPSC while submitting their application form. Candidates need to carry the same ID proof with them to their exam centers.
  • A candidate must reach their exam centers ten minutes earlier before the exam starts. It is mandatory so that the candidates do not face any problems.
  • No electronic and communication devices are allowed inside the exam centers as it is prohibited. Candidates cannot carry a mobile phone even in switch-off mode. If a candidate is found guilty, they have to face disciplinary actions and can even get banned from giving any UPSC exams in the future.
  • Also, candidates can use ballpoint pens (only black) to fill in their OMR sheets. Candidates who mark their OMR sheets with any other colored pen, their answers will not get evaluated.
  • Moreover, for candidates who put any recognition mark on their OMR sheets, their paper will not get evaluated. 
  • Candidates should understand that any mistake/ discrepancy while filling their OMR sheets will lead to the rejection of their sheets. Students need to pay extra attention while filling in exam details such as roll number, Booklet code, series code. These details can only be changed if the exam center invigilator allows doing so.

Interview Call Letter

Candidates can download their call letters for the final stage in the following way:

  • Just like admit cards, call letters are available on the UPSC’s official website. For this purpose, visit https://www.upsc.gov.in/. 
  • Then click on IES e-Summon call Letter
  • The next step is to put in your details like roll number and click on submit button.
  • In the end, the call letter will appear on the screen. Candidates can then save it.
