The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the SSC MTS Recruitment 2025 Notification on 26th June 2025. This notification covered openings for Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff as well as Havaldar posts under CBIC and CBN. The SSC MTS CBT 2025, earlier scheduled from 20th September to 24th October, has been postponed due to technical reasons and the SSC CGL exam (12th–26th September 2025). The SSC MTS 2025 Exam will be held in two stages—Paper 1 (for all posts) and PET/PST (only for Havaldar posts). Paper 1 will be an online objective test conducted in two mandatory sessions. Session 1 will have no negative marking, while Session 2 will carry a penalty of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.

There will be multiple-choice, objective-type questions in the computer-based exam. The questions will be written in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages for Session I and the General Awareness Part of Session II.

The first and second rounds of the computer-based examination make up the MTS recruitment procedure (CBE). The candidate’s performance in Session I will be assessed first, and only if they pass Session I their performance in Session II will be assessed.
