SSC CGL Syllabus: Overview

SSC CGL Tier-I exam is a computer-based (online) preliminary exam of 60 minutes duration, with objective multiple-choice questions. The SSC CGL Tier-II exam pattern is the Mains Exam with objective multiple-choice questions (except for the Data Entry Speed Test Module of Paper 1 – Section III). It has three papers.

You will find two parts in this section of the SSC CGL Tier 2 Syllabus. The first one is Finance & Accounts, where you will be attempting questions on basic accounting concepts and financial accounting for a total of 80 marks. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

SSC CGL CKT & DEST Syllabus

CKT or Computer Knowledge Test is the first module of the third section of Paper 1 in the Tier 2 SSC CGL exam. The topics covered in this section include the basics of computers, software, basics of networking and cyber security, and working with the internet and emails.

The DEST or Data Entry Skill Test is an online typing test where you have to make 2000 key depressions within 15 minutes. In other words, you will have to type about 26 words in one minute.
