The NIACL AO (New India Assurance Company Limited Administrative Officer) is a highly competitive government exam conducted by the New India Assurance Company Limited. The NIACL AO is not held annually. It is conducted only when vacancies are available within the various posts of NIACL AO.
The reason behind the irregularity of the exam is the nature of the vacancies. The NIACL AO exam is conducted to recruit administrative officers for various departments of New India Assurance Company Limited. These vacancies arise only when there is a need for new officers in the organization. Hence, the frequency of the NIACL AO exam depends on the availability of vacancies in the company.
However, it is important to note that the NIACL AO exam is still highly sought after by candidates due to its lucrative career opportunities. The exam allows candidates to secure a position in one of the leading insurance companies in India and build a successful career in the insurance sector.
A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an approved university but for NIACL AO specialists, certain eligibility criteria must be met.
The New India Assurance Company Ltd. is a public-sector insurance company. It is one of the largest insurance companies in the country. Therefore, the NIACL AO exam is a government exam.
The basic pay for NIACL AO 2023 is Rs 32,795/-. The selected candidates will get a total emolument of Rs 80,000/- per month in metro cities. There are separate provisions for House Rent Allowance, Dearness Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transportation Allowance, etc.
It is not fair to say that the roles and jobs of a NIACL AO (New India Assurance Company Limited Administrative Officer) are easier than the tasks of an SBI PO (State Bank of India Probationary Officer). Both roles have unique challenges and responsibilities, and comparing them in terms of difficulty is inappropriate.
NIACL AO revolves around various administrative tasks related to insurance policies, claims, underwriting, risk assessment, managing the day-to-day operations of the insurance company and ensuring that the policies and procedures are followed promptly and efficiently.
On the other hand, the job of an SBI PO involves managing various banking operations, such as customer relations, loans, accounts, and investments. They handle customer inquiries, manage accounts, and promote bank products and services.
Both jobs require different skill sets and knowledge, each with unique challenges. For instance, a NIACL AO may have to deal with complex insurance claims or fraud cases, while an SBI PO may have to manage many customer accounts and provide financial advice to clients.
The roles of a NIACL AO are to take care of claim settlement, risk assessment, assistant supervision, and underwriting. Therefore, you will be an integral part of the daily functioning of the NIACL. It is the perfect job for people who care about detail and love numbers. While using numbers becomes an integral part of the job, you will also be working to help the people understand the Indian and even foreign banking and investing systems as well.
It is a government sector job. Therefore, the competition is usually a lot as compared to any other job in the country. However, if you have a background in Finance or are just generally aware of the banking system in India, this is the job for you. You need to have your basic concepts clear to ensure you do not miss out on easy marks.
