It is conducted every year by the IBPS. The recruitment of the specialist officer takes place in the Middle Management Grade/Scale-III and the Middle Management Grade Scale-II. The conducting agency is the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection or IBPS. It is a government-owned recruitment agency for the bank personnel. It comes under the authority of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The aim behind the establishment of the IBPS is to uplift the placement and the job opportunities of the various undergraduates, postgraduates, and Ph.D. holders in the banking sector. The IBPS is responsible for conducting the examinations, the assessment, and the result processing.
IBPS came into existence after independence in 1975. The reason was to recruit the personnel to expand the banking sector after the nationalization of the banks. The head office of the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is in Maharashtra, India. The current chairman is Mr. RajKiran Rai G, and the director is Shri Hareedish Kumar B.
As a Specialist Officer, there is no specific task. The officers need to work in the field of their specialization in the banks. For instance, if someone is good in IT they will be the IT specialist officer and is responsible for looking into the technical aspect of the daily banking operations, whether it’s software or hardware. So there are different posts for the various specialized officers. Bank of Baroda is one of the leading public banks with headquarters in Vadodara, Gujrat, and a corporate office in Mumbai.
This bank came into existence in the year 1908, since then it is providing the service in the Banking and Finance sector. The post of BOB SO is a highly respectable position. The Bank of Baroda conducts the SO exam every year. It takes place to recruit for the specialist positions in India. The notification for the exam released every year. It releases on the official website according to availability. Last year, the details of the exams came out in November 2020. The news of the application for Specialist Officer in security and the Fire department was made available on December 18, 2020.
The exam for the Fire officers took place on 07.03.2021 (Sunday). Also, the result of the same was announced on 19th June 2021 and is available on the Bank of Baroda’s official website. Candidates can check their results from there. Also, the notification for the security officers’ screening process is available. For 2021, the notification came out in 2020. The application process for the online examination was till 19th January 2021. According to it, the exam took place on 07.03.21. The screening process is done for both fire officers and security officers. However, there is no notification on the portal regarding the SO exam for the other departments.

Candidates who are willing to take the Bank of Baroda SO exam can make the fee payment by online mode only. There is no option for offline submission of the application fees. To submit fees online, candidates can make the payment by credit/debit (Visa/ Mastercard/Mastro or Rupay card), IMPS, Cash Card, Monet wallet. The internet banking facility is also available for the candidates.

There is no relaxation for the women. They have to submit the fees according to their respective categories.
To appear for the Bank Of Baroda SO exam, one had to pass the criteria set by the IBPS. Two standards are needed to fulfill, Qualification and Experience. The lists have been mentioned below.

The minimum age is 25 years. The maximum is 35 years. It can be different as per the post requirement. The age mentioned above is for the General category, for the reserved category there has been some relaxation which is mentioned below:

The BOB SO exam takes place every year to fill the vacancies in prominent departments of the bank. In the year 2021, there is a total of 913 vacancies that need to fill. In these 913 posts, there are vacancies in legal MMG/S-III, MMG/S-II, in wealth management service saleMMG/S-II, in wealth management service- sale MMG/S-III, in Wealth management service- operations MMG/S-I and Wealth Management service- operations JMG/S-1. However, the exact total number of vacancies is not released yet. These seats are according to the previous years’ statistics.

The allowances and perks are provident funds, pensions, medical facilities, pass and privilege ticked orders, educational assistance, and gratuity. The salary for the MMG/S-II is 84000/- while for the MMG/S-I is 1,00,000/- per month.
The syllabus of the SO exam has six parts. The exam comprises General awareness, English language, reasoning subject, Numerical ability, and Computer Knowledge.

The BOB SO is conducted in 3 phases.
Firstly the online test. This exam is consists of 200 questions. There are 4 sections in the exam. These are Logical Reasoning, the English language, Quantitative aptitude, and Professional Knowledge. Each section is consists of 50 marks each. All the exams are required to be completed in 2 hrs.

Secondly- The Group Discussion
After the online test, there is the GD round. All the candidates who cleared the online test are called to appear for the GD round. Candidates who fail to clear the online test are disqualified for the GD also. The qualifying marks are 60% for the general category while 55% for the reserved category. Those who clear the GD with these marks go further for the final selection.

After registering for the Bank of Baroda SO examination, candidates are required to download the admit card from the official website. There is no post facility available for the admit card, everyone is required to download it. The card is mandatory to sit in the examination. It contains your details like name of the examination, date, name of the candidates, roll no, father’s name, mother’s name, exam center, venue of the exam, timetable, and the general details for the candidate. The IBPS will release the admit card a few weeks before the date of commencement of the exam.
To download the admit card, candidates have to mention their registration on the portal. It is important to download the admit card otherwise the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
If you forgot your registration or the roll number, click on the Forgot ID, then fill in the questions. You will be redirected to a page where you can see your registration id. After that, follow the normal process to access your admit card for the BOB exam.

The SO examination results are announced by the bank of Baroda only. They are declared online. Results are not announced in any newspaper or any other job portals. The result is announced for the online test and the Group Discussion/Interview. To see the result
