NIACL is the largest nationalized general insurance company in India. Sir Dobarji Tata established NIACL in 1919. This was later acquired in 1973 and now it is under the ownership of the Government of India. Besides, it is regulated by the Ministry of Finance. Also, the headquarter of NIACL is based in Mumbai. The current CEO of the company is Atul Sahai. Especially, this is the only Indian general insurance company to achieve A- rating by AM Best.
NIACL Assistant exam is arranged once every year. Through this exam, the NIACL authority recruits Class III Cadres. Similarly, the number of vacancies is different every year. The available vacancies are approximately around 700 and the recruitment process is conducted online. The recruitment process is a two-tier examination.
The Candidates need to appear for the online preliminary exam. Besides, the shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the online mains exam. Finally, the successful candidates will get provisional allotment based on their performance in the mains examination. After passing the mains exam, the candidates have to appear for the language test. This is conducted to check whether the candidate is fluent in the official language of the state/UT. However, the aspirants are provisionally allotted based on the vacancies.
The official notification for NIACL Assistant 2021 cycle is not released yet. In general, the registration link is activated after the official notification. The Candidates can themselves and follow the procedures mentioned over here for registration. Finally, after the successful submission of the application form, the candidates must download the same along with payment invoices for future requirements.

The dates for NIACL Assistant 2021 are not available as of now. Also, the authority will release the official notifications soon and the dates will be notified. Moreover, the notification can be expected to release around December 2021. This expectation is based on the previous years’ trends.
Generally, the recruitment process takes up to five months. The procedures might take longer due to the pandemic.
The Candidates need to fulfill both educational and general criteria to register themselves for the NIACL recruitment process.
The Candidates must have completed 21 years of age to be eligible for this examination. Additionally, the categories of age relaxation are discussed below.

The candidate must be a citizen of India and must have identity proof for the same. There are separate regulations for those who do not have any proof. However, the details of these regulations will be available on the official notification.
NIACL authority does not publish any specific syllabus for the exam. Only the exam pattern is available in the notification. In general, there are some suggestions according to the previous question papers.
The preliminary exam has three sections.
The question paper has 100 questions and thus each question carries one mark.
Apart from this, the NIACL Assistant 2021 mains exam has five sections.
The total allotted score is 250. Moreover, some of the questions carry two marks and the rest carries one mark each.
The questions come from various topics under these subjects.
The application fee for NIACL Assistant 2021 is paid online. Importantly, the charges paid once are not eligible for return. Indeed, there are different amounts for different categories of applicants. Also, the Bank transaction charges are not the same for every bank. Obviously, only online applications will be accepted for the NIACL Assistants 2021 recruitment process. In addition, the Candidates must submit their application form and complete the payment within the given time.
The process for NIACL Assistant online registration is divided into three steps.

A recent passport size color photo of measurements- 4.5cm x 3.5cm. Clearly, the preferred dimension of the image is 230×200 pixels. Also, the size of the image file should be between 20-50 KB. In addition, the candidates should not be wearing any accessories in the photograph. Subsequently, they should not change their appearance after uploading the photo.
The Candidates should sign on white paper with black ink and scan it. Also, Candidates must avoid using block letters in signatures. Furthermore, the scanned file size must be between 10-20 KB. Along with that, the dimension preferred is between 140×60 pixels.
The candidates must use blue or black ink to make their left thumb impression on white paper. Especially, the size of the scanned file of the left thumb impression should be between 10-20 KB and the dimension is 140*60 pixels.
“I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true, and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
Candidates must write the text which is mentioned above. This is done on white paper with black ink. Obviously, the declaration must be written only in the English language. Also, the handwritten declaration must not be in capital letters, except for the required cases.

NIACL Assistant admit card will be available on the official website two weeks after the examination. The students who have successfully applied will get the admit card. It should be noted that the NIACL authority will not send the admit card via post or email. You need to take a print out the admit card. A hard copy of the admit card is required at the examination center and a soft copy will not be accepted at the test center.

The official notification dates for the NIACL Assistant exam are not yet announced. Moreover, the results of prelims play a vital role in the filtration process. Also, the results of the mains decide the selection process. Last but not the least, the selected candidates are called for a final interview.
The Cut-off marks are nothing but the minimum qualifying marks. The candidates need to get the cut-off scores both in sectional and overall levels to qualify. Moreover, the failure to achieve the cut-off score in any one category will state the candidate has failed. Thus, they are unable to proceed to the next level.

The official website of NIACL provides the answer key for the preliminary exam. The candidates can check the website a few days after the exam. This helps them to understand their performance and know their chance of moving forward to the next round. Last but not the least, the candidates can also download the answer key from the website.
The difficulty of the question paper increases every year. However, it is easy to clear with a proper preparation plan.
The first salary after joining as a NIACL Assistant will be Rs. 23500 in hand. This amount includes the basic pay along with several allowances. The allowances include dearness allowance (DA), newspaper allowance, medical benefits, etc. In addition to this, the employees in metro cities will get benefits like accommodation and travel allowances. While joining, the NIACL Assistants are eligible for a pay scale of 14435-840. Above all, the pay scales may increase with specific conditions.
Finally, the employee who has joined as NIACL Assistant will be on a mandatory probation period. Besides, it is more like a trial period for employment. Obviously, the employee has to stay at the first posting for a minimum of five years.
