Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test, commonly known as CGTET, is conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB). The exam is divided into two parts: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper is conducted in two shifts. In addition, Paper 1 is for primary section teachers, and Paper 2 is for higher section teachers.

The exam pattern of the Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test is the same for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. It is conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board(CPEB) and the guidelines are provided by the NCTE.
The CG TET exam syllabus contains various subjects. CPEB, which is known as Chhattisgarh professional eligibility board is going to conduct the CG TET test for both lower and upper standards teachers. The candidates need to know the syllabus before applying for the exam. Moreover, the syllabus is different for lower and upper-standard teachers. Therefore, there will be a test in two shifts. Paper 1 includes the teachers who teach from class 1 to class 5. In addition, paper 2 is for class 6 to class 8 teachers.

The CPEB board will release the results of the CGTET exam when the exam is completed. Candidates are advised to check the official website on a regular basis to get further updates.
To be hired as a teacher in a government school in Chhattisgarh, candidates must score more than the CGTET qualifying marks. Candidates with a higher position on the merit list would be given precedence throughout the recruiting process. The board has concluded that 60%, or 90 out of 150, is the minimum qualifying score for the general category. The cut-off marks for the OBC/ PwD category are 50%, or 75, while the cut-off marks for the SC/ ST category are 40% or 60. Candidates who get the required minimum score on the test are deemed qualified.

The CPEB board will release the cut-offs of the CGTET exam 2023 after the exam. As per the cut-offs of the previous year’s exams, an expected cut-off is mentioned in the table below.

The selection procedure for the CGTET 2023 exam will be based on the merit of the candidates. To get selected, the candidates must first clear the CGTET exam 2023 (either Paper 1, Paper 2, or both). Then the qualified candidates will have to appear for an interview. Afterward, the candidates will be shortlisted for teaching jobs in government schools based on secured marks in the examination.
The Chhattisgarh professional examination board (CPEB) handles the CGTET. However, the salary or the payment is also given by the authority. In addition, it’s divided according to the lower and upper-class teachers. Candidates who are appearing for the Paper 1 exam can be shortlisted in the lower-class posts, and those who are appearing for the Paper 2 exam can be shortlisted in the upper-class posts. The Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test exam 2023 is conducted by the government authority. This authority is known as Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board or CPEB.
There are two papers in the CGTET exam 2023. Those are Paper 1 and Paper 2. The timing or duration given in each paper is 2 hours and 30 minutes. Therefore, a candidate will get 150 minutes to solve the Paper 1 question paper and another 150 minutes to solve the Paper 2 question paper.
There’s no age limit required for the CG TET exam 2023. A candidate of any age can take this CG TET exam 2023. However, to take this exam, a candidate must have the educational qualification mentioned on the official website of the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB).
The CG TET exam 2023 application fees differ for each category. For general category students, application fees for the Paper 1 exam are Rs. 350, and for Paper 1 and Paper 2 combined is Rs. 600. For OBC category students, application fees for the Paper 1 exam are Rs. 250, and for Paper 1 and Paper 2 combined is Rs. 400.
