The Staff Selection Committee (SSC) is a competitive government examination to hire candidates for different departments. The exam is conducted to hire candidates for Group B and C posts. There are 37,049 SSC selection post lists for the CGL exam 2023.
Some of the SSC CGL post lists are asst. Accounts officer, Asst. Audit officer, Inspector of Income-tax & central excise, sub-inspector (CBI), Junior Statistics officer, Auditor, Senior Secretariat Assistant, Upper Division clerks, and Tax Assistant. Some departments hiring these positions are the Indian Audit & Accounts Department, CBDT, CBIC, ED, CBI, Central Bureau of Narcotics, Registrar General of India, and Statistics & Programme Implementation.
The SSC exam is conducted in two tiers. The first tier is an online MCQ exam. The qualified candidates from Tier 1 would be asked to attend Tier 2, a descriptive exam.

The vacancies change every year. For SSC CGL 2023, a total of 37,049 vacancies have been announced.
A candidate who is an Indian with a graduate degree from a recognised university aged 18-32 is eligible for the exam. Candidates from Nepal/Bhutan/Tibetan refugees residing since 1962 are also allowed.
The candidate has to apply through the application form. Once the form is filled and approved, they will receive the admit card for the Tier 1 exam
There are two tiers in the exam. Tier 1 is mandatory for all candidates. It is an online MCQ-based exam. The selected candidates would be asked to appear for Groups 1 and 2 of Tier 2. Afterwards, they would be asked to attend Group 3 (Computer knowledge and data entry speed test).
The candidate must go through the entire syllabus and understand the exam pattern. They should choose the best books to cover the syllabus, practice mock papers, and solve the previous year’s papers.
The candidate needs to go to the official website. Click on the ‘Check SSC CGL result’ tab. Enter the roll number, and the results will be displayed.
According to SSC, there is no interview round for the SSC CGL post-list exam. The candidates are selected based on Tier 1 and 2 exams.
