PPSC Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit
The candidate’s age is specified by the government, it should be between 21 and 37 years old. Candidates planning for the position of Deputy Superintendent of Police must be at least 21 years old and not more than 28 years old. The same applies to the post of Deputy Superintendent Jail/District Probation Officer. Age limit criteria vary with different posts. Educational Qualification
The educational requirements for students attempting the PPSC Prelims and Mains Exam 2024 are as follows:
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized university or institute.
- Final-year students can apply for the PPSC Prelims 2024 exam. However, for PPSC Mains, the applicant must have graduated.
- Applicants must have Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject in their high school.
- The applicant can also take equivalent Punjabi Language exams as specified by the government.
- There is no minimum mention of a percentage requirement for candidates to take the exam.

- a Bhutanese national

- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka. The residents of the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, and the United Republic of Tanzania can also appear.

How To Apply For PPSC Application?
The application process for the PPSC 2024 exam will start soon. Applicants can follow the steps below to apply for various positions posted by the Punjab Public Service Commission.

- Visit the advertisement section of the home page, and click on “Open Advertisement.”

- Scroll down to the bottom to the other information section. There you will find the “Apply Online” button. Click on that button.
- For successful registration candidates need to enter a few details. Enter a valid email address and phone number. Candidates can start filling out the application form after successful registration.
- Candidates need to enter their personal information. The data includes the Applicant’s name, Father’s name, Mother’s name, DOB, Gender, Marital Status, Email id, and so on.
- Next, enter your address information. This includes city name, district, address, and pin code. You also need to fill in your contact details.

- Enter a “password” of your choice. Then press the “Update” button.

PPSC Exam Center

- The PPSC Mains examination is a descriptive exam.

PPSC Result And Cutoffs
The PPSC Post-wise Recruitment 2024 preliminary exam results will be released soon after the conduction of the exam. When results are announced, candidates must always have their roll numbers or registration numbers on hand to check the results. Candidates should save their results for future use. Once the main exam is held later in 2024, the exam’s final results will be released.

Candidates who pass the PPSC Main Exam will then take the Interview round, which is worth 150 points. The final result will be announced based on the Mains and Interview marks after the PPSC Interview and Physical Test. The dates of the results and other details will be announced after that.
PPSC Cutoffs 2024
The PPSC 2024 preliminary exam will be held in two shifts of two hours each. For 200 marks, the PPSC Prelims question paper consists of 100 objective-type single-choice questions in Paper 1 and 80 questions in Paper 2. There is no penalty for incorrect responses.
For any exam, the following factors must be considered when determining the cut-off:

The preliminary cut-off is according to different castes and categories.
According to the official notification, the cut-off for the PPSC 2024 Preliminary exam will be based on the number of candidates selected for the PPSC Mains Examination being 13 times the number of vacancies released, which is 75.
