- Be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee came to India before January 1st, 1962, intending to live permanently in India.
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, Vietnam, or East African Countries, namely Uganda, Malawi, Kenya, United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Zanzibar and Tanganyika), Zaire, and Ethiopia, to permanently settle in India.
2. SSC CHSL Age Limit
As per official website of SSC, the candidate must have the following chsl age limit criteria to appear for the exam:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be at most 27 years of age

3. Educational Qualification
The candidate must meet the following educational qualification criteria to satisfy the SSC CHSL eligibility to appear for the exam:
- For LDC/JSA Posts – The candidate appearing must be a 12th Graduate (or equivalent)
- For PA/SA Posts – The candidate appearing must be a 12th Graduate (or equivalent)
- For DEO Posts – The candidate appearing must be a 12th Graduate (or equivalent)
- For DEO in Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG) – The candidate appearing must be a 12th Graduate in the Science stream with Mathematics as the main subject (or equivalent)

Yes, tattoos are allowed in SSC (Public Sector), i.e. A person with a tattoo cannot be declared unfit to work. But with certain limitations/restrictions.
