The Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Science and technology is shortly called MGUMST. It is a higher education Private Medical institution. In fact, it is one of the best Medical science universities in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Soon, the state government of Rajasthan recognized it as a university under Act no 22 of 2011. Above all, UGC has given it recognition as well. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different streams of science. For instance, there are streams like Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Health Informatics, etc.
The MGUMST University, Jaipur, has six colleges. Earlier, in 2001, there was only Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital. Later, the university established more colleges from 2002-20012. Namely, they are Mahatma Gandhi Nursing School, Mahatma Gandhi Dental College & Hospital, Mahatma Gandhi Physiotherapy College, etc. Finally, in 2019, MGMSTU also set up Shri Ram Cancer and Super Speciality Centre in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The mission of Mahatma Gandhi University Medical Science & Technology University, Jaipur, is to become an institution that can provide high-quality education as well as the best research in the field of Medicine. Moreover, the selection of students is free from any type of discrimination or bias.
Vision
MGUMST, Jaipur also has the aim to provide medical education. Additionally, it has the objective to become a reputed medical institute like AIIMS, New Delhi. Also, as health care has become one of the basic needs in the current scenario, the university has an objective to reach the finest level of medical research and education.
Courses at Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Science and Technology
Bachelors: The Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Science and Technology offers many courses at the undergraduate level in various streams of Medical Science. For instance, the streams which the university offers are Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Health Informatics, etc. In total, there are 27 courses at the undergraduate level. Namely, there are courses like MBBS, B.Sc. Yoga Therapy, B.Sc. Clinical Psychology, B.Sc. Radiotherapy, B.Sc. EEG Technology, B.Sc. Surgical Assistance, etc.
Masters: MGUMST offers many Postgraduate courses. For instance, MD is available in 17 specializations; Emergency Medicine, Radio-Diagnosis, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, Anatomy, etc. Besides, there are many other Postgraduate courses. Namely, M.Sc. (Med) Physiology, M.Sc. Yoga Therapy, M.Sc. Dialysis Technology, M.Sc. Molecular Virology and many more options are available.
PH.D.: For the Ph.D. courses, the candidate has to get his MD, MS, M.Sc in which Ph.D. is willing to be pursued. Moreover, the candidate should have a min. of 55% marks. Specifically, Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Science and Technology offers a Doctorate in, Medicine, Nursing, Dental Science, Sports Management, etc.
