SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam and its conducting authority.

SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam overall information.

SRMJEE is at an intermediate level of competence. Just like other exams JEE Mains, BITSAT, etc. In fact, around two lakh students appear for this Exam. SRM offers technical engineering programs for the students. Students start preparing for this SRMJEE right after their board exams. There are three essential aspects to remember. Firstly, this Exam is conducted only once a year, depending upon the program for undergraduate and post-graduation programs. Secondly, the number of attempts is only one in a year. And thirdly, students can ace the SRMJEE Exam as the difficulty level is intermediate.

But for the First Time in 2021, SRMJEE is going to be conducted twice this year.  Hence, a university-level exam gives us a chance to compete with each other. Lakhs of students appear to gain a seat. Further, the total number of seats offered by SRMJEE is 7000. This year phase 1 was conducted on May 23 & 24. Phase 2 was completed on June 29 & 30.

SRMJEEE Dates 2021 and 2022.

Aspirants who want to pursue a career in engineering through SRM University. Must appear for this SRMJEEE. SRMJEEE is being conducted twice this year. Whereas SRMJEEE 2021 phase 1 and phase 2 were held during May and July. SRMJEEE phase 3 for B. Tech was just born on August 28, 2021. Therefore, Candidates who want to apply for the post-graduation program exam will be held on September 02, 2021. Aspirants shall visit the official website for further inquiry. On successful scores, candidates can get admission for B.Tech and M.Tech programs.

The conducting body is the SRM Institute of Science and Technology. They will release the further dates on their online portal as all three phases have already been held. SRMJEE exam dates 2022 are to be announced. The dates will probably be released during January 2022. When these dates are released, students can start preparing for their Exams. Every year the dates are almost the same. Change in the dates may shuffle due to Covid-19 situations. Only this year, SRMJEEE was held twice in two phases.

 

SRMJEEE Notifications.

SRM is the official authority that conducts SRMJEEE. They will release the latest notification on their official website as SRMJEEE held twice this year. But there is no surety that exams will be held in 2 phases in next year. Therefore Exam has two more subjects which are English and aptitude format. It is through online mode. The notifications for the next year, 2022, will be released during November 2022. In fact, the online registration starts in January and will end in May. Changes in the dates may fluctuate depending upon pandemic situations.

As exam dates and admit card information is already mentioned. A further process is SRMJEEE counseling. Candidates qualified with sustainable scores will be given counseling. And it is held during September. During counseling, candidates have a choice to the branch of their liking. Candidates can decide which subject they want as their significance. The fact is every year, nearly one lakh students appear for SRMJEEE. But during this year 2021, almost four lakh students appeared. Not only Exam be held in two phases but also 7000 students will be selected. Admission processes are quite hindered due to Covid 19. This was the reason for taking the Exam in two phases.

 

SRMJEEE Eligibility Criteria.

Young students who aspire to pursue their careers in the engineering sector through SRMJEEE. To qualify in age criteria, candidates must be citizens of India. Candidates must have Indians, Non-Resident Indians, or holders of PIO or OCI cards. And this identity card should be issued by the government of India. The age criteria are that the aspirant should be at least 16 years old.

Aspirants should have cleared SSC and HSC, that is (10+2). Must have Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as main subjects. Biology is optional to Mathematics for Biotechnology. Any state board is applicable for this Exam. But it advised me to study the NCERT syllabus. NCERT covers most of the syllabus.

 

State Board Criteria for eligibility

Other state boards such as CBSE, ISCE, or NIOC are also eligible. Whereas any candidate, through a distance learning program, must have passed (10 + 2). The candidate must have cleared 12^th in less than two attempts. There are direct admission criteria where candidates have relaxations. Aspirants who are listed amongst the top 1000 rankers in IIT-JEE. Candidates who are top rankers in the district of Tamilnadu.

Direct admission criteria are also applicable for students who are exemplary sportspeople. Minimum 50% marks in 12^th are the percentage criteria. And a minimum 60 % SRM percentage ratio. Chemistry and physics are the common subjects. Whereas Biology is for the students who want to choose Biotechnology as their major. And Mathematics for someone who wants to go for an engineering program.

 

Following are the other primary criteria:

• Students who have passed Diploma or A – level with either of subjects.
• Candidates who have passed 12^th from NIOS are eligible.
• But the same candidates who passed 10^th from NIOS are not qualified.
• 50 % in the 12^th from a recognized
• 60% SRM percentage ratio.
• Minimum 16 years of age criteria.

 

SRMJEEE Registration Process.

The SRMJEE registration process starts in December. And for this year, registration has already been done. Firstly you can apply for SRMJEEE only through online mode. But before applying for this exam, candidates must have scanned copies of documents. Documents include the 10^th and 12^th mark sheet, Aadhaar Card Number, photograph, and signature. Scanned copies mustn’t exceed more than 200kb size.

SRMJEEE registration process fees are Rs.1100/- It has to be paid through an online payment mode. Mode of payment is online through Internet banking/credit card/debit card/IMPS/Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets.

 

Following are the step by step guide for the registration process:

• Online registration forms are available on the official website – https://www.srmist.edu.in/ where candidates have to fill invalid information such as name, email id, ten-digit phone number, state, and city.
• Students will receive a unique ID and password on their registered email id. It is essential to note down login credentials. This website will ask for a password one time.
• After getting the login id and password, the aspirant must sign in and enter valid information. Educational and personal data has to be filled in. Aspirants must check twice while entering data. 10^th and 12^th academic qualifications will be asked.
• The second important step is to upload a scanned photograph and signature. The scanned copy must be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
• The third important step of online payment is through Internet banking/credit card/debit card/IMPS/Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets. Online registration fees are Rs. 1100/-
• The final procedure after payment is to submit the form. Before submitting, it is essential to recheck all information.
• Last but not the least, remember to download a copy of the form for future reference.
• SRM is the running body for SRMJEE Exam. Hence registration forms will only be available on the official website. SRM official does not accept application forms from any other websites or portals. SRMJEEE Syllabus.

SRMJEEE syllabus is almost the same as other entrance exams such as JEE and BITSATs. This SRMJEEE syllabus includes Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English, and aptitude as the core subjects. It is essential to know that students must have mathematics as a subject. Aspirants must check sub-topics and study accordingly. The syllabus for SRMJEEE is based on the 11^th and 12^th NCERT curriculum. Hence candidates must prepare accordingly. Only in 2020 did SRM announce they would not accept admission from SRMJEEE.

However, from 2021, there will be two phases for the Exam. Usually, other entrance exams like JEE, where PCM are the main subjects. In addition to this, SRMJEEE has an English, Biology, and aptitude syllabus. Studying the NCERT syllabus is highly advised for the students as it covers most of the syllabus for exams.

SRMJEEE Pattern.

Candidates who wish to apply for SRMJEEE must be aware of the examination pattern. It is a computer-based exam. Objective multiple-choice questions. SRMJEEE exam pattern doesn’t have any negative marking. Hence +1 mark for every correct answer. Generally, the duration of this Exam is two hours and 30 minutes. SRMJEEE exam will be online through a computer in the exam centers.

Firstly there are a total of 125 questions in SRMJEEE for 125 marks. Secondly, the mode of language for this Exam is English. As there is no opposing marking, candidates can appear with ease. Thirdly SRMJEEE includes Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and Aptitudes as the core subjects. The officials of this Exam conduct tests twice a year. From 2021 SRM officials is taking exams in two phases because SRMJEEE was only held once a year.

SRMJEEE Admit Card.

SRMJEEE Admit Card 2021 will be released on srmist.edu.in Aspirants have to carry admit cards at their exam center. The admit card will be released on their SRMIST official portal. Only registered students will be able to get their admit cards. The login credentials will initiate after the registration and slotting. It is an online mode of application. Therefore, SRM permits card download 2021 will be available on their portal. SRMJEEE admit card will include the candidates’ information. Name, address, date of birth, year such information is on Admit card.

 

Important Note for Candidates

Aspirants must carry their SRMJEEE admit cards with them. The Admission card process is in two phases. SRMJEEE admit card 2021 phase 1 was born on May 23 and 24. Whereas phase 2 took place just recently, on July 25 and 26, 2021. Aspirants can download their admit cards from here. Admit cards of phase 1 and phase 2 are available on the same website. SRMJEEE results in 2021 phase 1 were usually initiated on May 28, 2021. Whereas phase 2 results were announced on July 5, 2021. SRMJEEE results of phase 3 were released just recently during August 2021, as the Exam was conducted on May 23 and 24 and ended during August 25 with the last phase.
