SKU Conducts a Common Entrance Test called SKUCET. It is an entrance test for admissions in the various PG programs present in the SKU ( Sri Krishnadevaraya University ) and colleges affiliated with SKU

SKU and its affiliated colleges offer the following Programs:-

  • M.A
  • MSc
  • M.Com
  • MED
  • MSW
  • M.LIBSC

 

SKUCET is an offline exam conducted once a year students who want to apply for the exam can apply  online. the application form is available on the official website. It is a state-level examination conducted usually in the second week of June.  the exam is conducted in English and Telegu language only except for language-based tests. A student should get a minimum of 25 % to qualify SKUCET. However, for SC/ST students there are no such cut-off marks. SKUCET consists of three sections that are Section A, B, and C  Section ( A& B ) consists of 30 questions each, and Section C consists of 40 questions.

Since SKU offers many programs through SKUCET. Students can write as many Subject tests as  they like but they need to pay a separate application fee for those.

SKU:- It is a Govt University established in the year 1981. The University along with the affiliated colleges offers many programs to the students. such as PhD, M.Phill, PG, and UG Programs. The University consists of many facilities such as Computer Center, Health Center, Auditorium, Outdoor Stadium, Central Library, A Science Instrumentation Center. The Programs that are offered in SKU and its affiliated colleges are as follows.

Eligibility Criteria

There are certain requirements that have to be met to apply for the exam Known as the eligibility criteria students are advised to look into those requirements and apply for the exam only if they fulfill them. Given below is the eligibility criteria for SKUCET Exam

National Integration Quota:-  As SKUCET is a state-level exam( AP) students from other state can get admissions in SKU through National Integration Quota. SKU reserves 5 % of seats for students from another state.

NRI Students :- SKU admits NRI students without entrance exam as long as they have student visa while studying in University.

PG Degree Holders:-  PG Degree holders can apply for subject course different from their area of study.

Educational Qualification:- When the admission is based on the degree obtained by the students. Students need to get a minimum of 40% in the qualifying examination.

Aggregate:-  SC\ST students need to get only pass marks for admissions in SKU. Other category students need to get a  minimum score for admissions in SKU. SKU prescribes the minimum score and they are as follows:-

  • The minimum percentage of marks in group subjects is 40%
  • Students who want admission in M.ED Program require a minimum of 50% in B.ED
  • The minimum percentage of marks in Degree \ PG is 40 %
  • Students who are in their final year of the study program and students who have passed the qualifying exam can apply for SKUCET.
  • NOTE:  Students who are writing the Supplementary papers can’t apply for SKU.

 

Students applying for the P.G Program need to have UG Degree in the related area of the study.

 

Reservation

The admission of the students into the Program depends upon many factors. such as the availability of the seats, merit score, and the reservation of the seats for the students, etc. most of the seats in SKU are reserved for the local students very few seats are reserved for non-local students nearly 85 % of the seats are reserved for local students and only 15 % is reserved for non-local students.

SKUCET Application & Registration

Application forms can be filled and submitted only in online mode. following are the steps to fill the application form.

  1. Visit the official website.
  2. Click on SKUCET 2021
  3. On the right-hand side click on the application form
  4. Students need to register by providing the following details such as name, DOB, educational qualifications, etc.
  5. Students need to pay RS 500 for every subject test they wish to apply and complete the registration Process
  6. Once the payment is completed students can download the application form from the website.

 

Payment of Application Fee:-  Students can pay the application fee through one of the following modes they are as follows

  1. Internet Banking
  2. Debit\ Credit card
  3. Bank Challan
  • Students who use Debit\ Credit cards will be directed to the payment gateway for the payment of the application fee
  • If the students use bank challan to pay the application fee Students are required to upload challan numbers separately. The Challan number can be uploaded by logging into the account by using the registration number and DOB. it is used for the original login portal.

 

SKUCET Registration Process

The Registration for SKUCET 2021 will start soon before registering for the exam students need to see if they satisfy the eligibility criteria and then only register for the exam Students who possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a 50 % score can register for SKUCET Exam . SKU conducts the SKUCET exam for students who want admissions in PG Programs. SKU offers PG programs with more than 23 different disciples.

  • The application fee is RS 500
  • On the official website, the registration window will be open for a month
  • Students need to fill separate application forms for each subject course they want to apply.
  • Students can use debit card\credit cards or internet banking to pay the fee.

 

Documents required for Registration:-

While filing the SKUCET registration form on the official website there are certain documents that students should submit along with the registration form. so students are advised to check if they have all the necessary documents and then start filling the registration form given below are the documents that are required for SKUCET registration.

  1. Birth certificate
  2. Class X mark sheet
  3. Students need to provide the percentage of a qualifying exam, admit card number, place of study, and the year of passing
  4. Students also need to provide details of Class ‘X’ exam such as the admit card number, year of passing and the place of study.
  5. Personnel details of the students need to be provided such as the name, mobile number, Email ID, Aadhar number, and Parents\ Guardians name
  6. A caste certificate is required if students belong to the SC\ST\BC category.
  7. Students who belong to sports category, NCC cadet, Physically handicapped must provide PH,NSS, NCC, CAP, Sports certificate.
  8. Students need to upload an income certificate to avail of fee concession
  9. A residential certificate or any other certificate needs to be uploaded as proof of the local status of the students.
  10. Recent passport-size photographs of the student need to be uploaded in the prescribed format.
  11. Address of the student.
  12. Students can select the helpline center for certificate verification and options at the time of admission.

Students can fill the SKUCET application form the official website given below is the detailed steps to fill the application form.

  1. Visit the official website
  2. Then click on the online Registration link
  3. First students need to fill the online challan Registration form
  4. Then Students have to fill the online application form
  5. Students are required to enter personnel details such as the name, mobile number, Email ID
  6. Details of educational qualifications are entered
  7. then the uploading of photograph and  signature in the prescribed format is done
  8. Selection of exam center is done
  9. Enter the details of Class X  Roll NO, Month, and Year of passing
  10. Enter the annual Income of parents\ guardians
  11. Accept the terms and conditions and then click on the preview option to verify.
  12. Verify the entered details and then click the “save & print” option

SKUCET Application fees can be remitted online and offline. Given below are the steps to remit the application fee.

  1. If the application fee is paid through challan. the print-out of the challan needs to be taken and the application fee can be paid from a nearby SBI Bank.
  2. Students receive the registered number on their Email ID after the payment of the application fee.
  3. Students can pay the application fee through a Debit card\ Credit card or Net banking.
  4. A PDF File consisting of application form details is sent to the mobile number or Email ID of the applicant.

Students need to take a print of the application form as it may be useful in the future.

  • Log in using the application number and DOB
  • Take a print of the application form

 

SKUCET Application Form Status

Students can check the application form status from the official website. if there is any incomplete or incorrect information it can be verified through the student’s profile on the website.

Students can log in with the application number and password. They can correct the mistakes in the application form on the website itself or they can contact the concern authority.

Exam Pattern

The SKUCET is an objective-based exam conducted in the offline mode. the exam totally consists of hundred questions and there are three sections Section A,B consists of 30 questions each and Section C consists of 40 questions. for every correct answer one mark is awarded. there are no negative marks for wrong and unanswered questions.

SKUCET Exam Syllabus

The syllabus of the exam will be released on the official website students can check the website for more information. After applying for the exam students need to visit the website and check the syllabus and the exam pattern. the SKUCET Syllabus is vast as there are many subject course entrance exam SKU conducts  Syllabus for all the subject course is available on the website. Students need to know the syllabus, the important topics, and the exam pattern to prepare better for the exam. SKU conducts entrance exams for the following Courses.

SKUCET Admit Card

SKU releases the admit card on the official website a few days before the exam. Students can download the admit card by entering the application number and DOB. it is advised that the admit card is kept safe till the results are released as students check the SKUCET result  by entering the admit card number

Students are advised to take admit card and ID proof to the exam center without them they won’t be allowed to write the exam. the admit card is a vital document as it contains all the important details of the student and if any of the details are wrong students need to contact the higher authority and inform them and make the necessary changes otherwise they might face problems in the exam hall.

The admit card consists of the details of the exam center. students can select the exam center while filling the application form generally students are allotted the exam center they select while filling the application form but sometimes the exam center gets filled. so the students are allotted another exam center.

The Director of admissions of SKU decides the exam center. the exam centers are decided based on the number of students writing the exam. all the necessary details are present on the official website. Generally, there are two exam centers they are.

  • G. Pullareddy Engineering college, Kurnool

 

The Number of exam centers for the exam depends upon the number of students writing the exam.

 

SKUCET Results

SKU releases the results a month after the exam is conducted on the official website. students can check the results by entering the admit card number. admission of the students is based on the results. Students are required to score a minimum of 25 % in SKUCET to be eligible for admissions.

Admission of the students depends upon many factors such as the rank secured by the student, availability of the seats and the reservation of seats, etc.

 

 Counseling

The Counseling dates for SKUCET will be released soon on the official website. after the results are released students need to go to the counseling center along with important documents and rank cards and get their documents verified. Students are required to attend the counseling session on the allotted date and time if a student fails to attend the counseling session their seat gets canceled and the seat is given to the student next in rank. and the students who report after the counseling session is over are considered for the next counseling session.

The admission process will start after the completion of the counseling. Selected students receive allotment letters and they need to report to the institute with their allotment letters

Q1. What is SKUCET and Who Conducts It?

The results are declared on the official website the results are declared a month after the exam is conducted and the rank card is released 10 days after the result students need to download and take a print of the rank card as it may be useful in the future. SKU also releases cut-offs on the website students need to score minimum marks to be eligible for admissions in SKU

5. Counseling Process

SKU conducts the counseling based on the ranks obtained by the students. the names that are present in the merit list can attend the counseling as per the schedule.

Students are required to take vital documents ( such as marksheet, caste certificate) to the counseling center and get them verified after the document verification the selected students are given an allotment letter. along with the allotment letter in the given schedule they need to report to the institute only then the admission is completed.
