With adequate autonomy and flexibility as well in its operations, it was so, designed to achieve peaceful developments of the Indian Medical Structure. - The individual state was debarred from conducting entrance exams for SS courses. The same was true for private entities.
- “However, AIIMS in New Delhi, PGIMER in Chandigarh are not covered for admissions to DM, M.Ch seats through NEET-SS for 2017 session. Similarly, JIPMER in Puducherry, NIMHANS, in Bengaluru is not covered for admissions to DM, M.Ch seats through NEET-SS for the 2017 session. And Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology in Trivandrum are not covered for admissions to DM, M.Ch seats through NEET-SS for 2017 session,” said Dr. Batra, executive director at the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
NEET SS: The Exam Name and Banking Body
NEET SS is an exam quite in its infancy. In earlier times, a post-graduate medico to develop the interest towards a specific specialty learned and understood the subject. NEET SS Entrance Exam 2022:
The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released an information brochure. It states important dates and details of NEET SS 2022. However, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET SS) had also notified about the starting of online application for the entrance exam this year. According to the update provided, registration for NEET SS 2021 will start from 1st November.
The last date to submit the NEET SS application form 22nd November 2021. As per the NEET SS update for 2022, the edit window was open from 1st December to 7th
December 2021. It will enable candidates to modify changes in the application form. The selection process will be based on the clearance of the exam and college interview later.

NEET SS Eligibility
NEET SS has released a detailed notification related to NEET SS eligibility criteria for the exam. Quite some parameters are there that the candidates need to meet. To be eligible for the entrance exam, they must fulfill the criteria listed below.

NEET SS Exam Pattern
The Scheme is that –
- Each candidate can choose a maximum of two super-specialty courses in NEET SS 2022.
- The NBE defines the eligibility criteria for NEET SS Examination. The super-specialty courses must be according to the same.
In the exam notification, NEET SS 2022 has not said much about the pattern of the online exam. Just that the selection process would consist of a written test followed by an interview or counseling round. So, we searched the internet. We found that NEET SS 2021 online exam consists of a total of 400 marks. There will be 100 questions. contained within the following two sections:
- Part A will have 40 questions. These will be from the broad specialty course chosen by the applicant while filling the application form. If some specialty course has just one broad category, Part A of the question paper will comprise of just one subject. If a specialty course has two or more corresponding broad category heading courses, Part A of the question paper will comprise all the broad specialty subjects.
- Part B will have the remaining 60 questions. These questions will be from the super specialty course selected by the candidate. The questions during this section are going to be from the topics associated with the clinical practices and basic sciences as applicable to the concerned super-specialty. Topic-specific questions are asked.
There is positive information regarding negative marking for each wrong answer. Hence, one should be extra cautious in making guesses.
The exam is MCQ type in nature. The duration of the NEET SS exam is for 2 hours 30 minutes. Candidates are so, advised to check the portal for all the related details.
NEET SS Admit Card
NEET SS exam admits card (also known as call letter/ hall ticket) is in general made available for download on the official website of the organization. So, to clarify. a few days before the conduct of the written test, the applicants can visit the official portal to download the admit card.
*Note: NEET SS meanwhile also sends the admit card to the shortlisted candidates on their registered email ID, depending on the post applied for.
The admit card is certainly an important document. It is to be carried to the venue for a written test or interview. The applicants who would not have their admit card might not be allowed to take the test or appear for an interview.
Once the registration is completed, the candidates become eligible to download their admit cards. For 2022, the possible month when the applicants can download their admit card is 3rd January 2022.

The application fee should be remitted through a debit card or credit card. Internet banking is also accepted. It is provided in the portal. So, applicants are requested to read the details and screenshots for making the payment. However, candidates applying for other exams conducted by NBE are required to transfer the fees separately for each exam.
The applicants however can also make the payment by approaching specifically a local branch. One has to choose the branch name in the payment option. Then, download the receipt generated. Then deposit the net fee and applicable bank charges. Therefore, the candidate should ensure to obtain the seal and signature of the bank official.
But candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS category have to enter the “Bank Collect reference No.” generated after payment, in the Online Application Form. As earlier mentioned, the SC/ST/ the PwD, Ex-Servicemen, or Women candidates are certainly not exempted from payment of the application fee. All willing to sit for the entrance have to pay, unlike many other exams.
The candidates may go through all instructions and eligibility criteria carefully. Before remitting the Application Fee and submitting the application it is to be done. They will not return any already paid fees. Applications of students, who do not transfer the net application fee, will not be considered.
NEET SS Vacancy
Every year, however, some scholars apply for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. But they pass candidates based only on their entrance exam marks. This exam is conducted only once a year and this exam is conducted at the national level. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Specialty (NEET SS) has notified (as mentioned) most details for the exam. To clarify, Exam for the post medico applicants.
The selection will be based on merit. Applicants who have cleared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Speciality (NEET SS) entrance exam will be shortlisted.
