KLEE eligibility stands as an important factor for the aspirants. We will be looking at the different things you require to qualify for this examination. Prominently, we will be looking at the age, education, and other things you will need to qualify. The eligibility criteria are decided by the CEE. It is the most important detail to remember when deciding for this exam.
The first thing we will look at is age. Firstly, You must be above the age of 17 as of December 2021, to enter the KLEE Examinations. Additionally, you must be a citizen of India to take this test. However, there is no age limit for this exam. A candidate that is age 25, 30, or any other age can partake in this test.
The second thing to remember is the academic qualification. The students should have cleared the higher secondary education or examination. That is the 10+2 examination. The HSC exam or its equivalent should be recognizable by the universities in Kerala.
The candidates will need 45% passing marks in qualifying exams, to qualify for this exam. The qualifying test is taken before the examination. The general category needs 45 percent while the SC/ST castes can pass from a passing grade of 40%. These qualifications are for the 5-year courses.
The three-year courses are the same more or less. You must be the age of 17 while being a citizen of India. You must be a graduate from the HSC board or give an equivalent exam to qualify. The general category must get a 45 percent in the qualifying examination. In contrast, the SC/ST will need 40 percent, the same as the 5 years students.
Also, the last is the LLM Students. There is no age upper limit for these candidates. However, they must have 50 or more percentage in the qualifying examinations.
To know about the KLEE registration process do read the description ahead.
The students will need to visit the official website of the CEE for information about the registration process. We discussed the eligibility criteria before. Students need to make sure it is followed when making the registration. If the registration is done and the student is not eligible, they will be barred from taking the exam.
Hence, students must check the eligibility criteria first. Next, is the registration process. All the students will have to do is complete the registration process, pay the fees, and confirm their slot. The application form for the KLEE 2021 candidates was released on March 2022.
The last date to submit the application form was the 18th March. The candidates got exactly a month after the application process. Since the exam took place in March 2022. There are a few steps we will discuss that students took to fill the application form.
The first step is to fill the registration form. The registration form gets a candidate’s basic details like name, date of birth, age, etc. The CEE’s official website has the link which students used to register. The candidate’s phone number is required along with a password that they create.
Next is the application form, this step will unlock after you finish the registration. First, you are going to enter your personal details, and center details. After you enter the prompted details, click on the Save button. This will save your changes for the fees payment and the admit card.
After you pay the application form, the icon on the home page will turn green. This means the payment was successful. You will be asked to upload your images and educational certificates for confirmation. Upon finishing this process, you must take a print of this page for confirmation.
KLEE syllabus stands as an important factor. There are three main categories of subjects. The subjects are General English, General Knowledge, and the most important Aptitude for Legal Studies. First, we will look at the General English section and what is asked in the examination.
The general English section consists of day-to-day English grammar and comprehension. The English section consists of 60 out of the total 200 marks of the paper. The sections and questions will consist of a few topics listed below.
These are the grammar questions that are asked generally. Let us take a look at the different General Knowledge topics the students will encounter. The general knowledge section is 45 marks out of 200. The topics that this section of the paper will cover are:
To keep up with all these topics, catch up on news clippings, articles, and more. Some apps give news in short words and videos. Use them to keep track of the happenings of the world.
The Legal studies portion consists of 70 marks. The topics are:
Hence, These are the primary things that the legal section will cover in the examination.
Now, we are going to talk about how the KLEE exam pattern works for this test. Firstly, this exam is online so it is easier to give answers in an instant when the candidate knows it. Plus, everyone at this age knows the basics of using a computer. Secondly, the exam has 200 questions. Thirdly, the sections are more or less of equal weightage.
Let us go a little bit more in-depth. First of all, the questions will be in an MCQ format. Secondly, each question will be for 3 marks. So in total 200 questions will be asked, therefore the total marks will be 600. Therefore, 600 is the maximum number of marks that are obtainable in this paper. Thirdly, there is a negative marking for this paper.
That is, if you answer a question wrongly then a mark will be deducted from your total. That is why candidates should only attempt the question if they absolutely know the answer to it. A single mark can be a difference-maker in passing or failing. The paper is divided primarily into three subject sections we discussed previously.
The general English section and general knowledge are for 195 marks each. The highest mark weightage goes to the legal studies section with 200 marks. All of this incorporates 600 marks. No marks are given to students if they do not attempt questions.
Candidates will have 2 hours to complete 200 questions. Thus time management is of the utmost importance when attempting the paper. Students need to practice with sample papers or mock tests which are available online. This helps proper preparation for the examination.
Now, let us talk about the KLEE admit card. The admit card is the most important instrument fr the candidate since it will get you into the exam hall. It also has all of the details regarding the examination present in it. To get the admit card, the students first need to register themselves on the official website of the CEE. After the registration is done, they will fill the application forms.
After that, the application fees are paid and the candidate is registered for the exam. The admit card will differ for all 3 Year LLB, 5 Year LLB, and LLM students. The structure will be different along with the details. The application form can be used to get the admit card. The details of the candidate are used to get the admit cards, such as the application number, password, and more.
The candidates need to download the admit card and keep it. This will be useful on exam day when entering the hall. There will be a qualifying exam held which will determine if the candidates can appear for the main exam.
The admit card will contain details such as the name of the candidate, their application number, photograph, date of birth, the exam name, and venue of the examination. Additionally, the date of the exam will also be mentioned. The admit card can be download by going to the official website, clicking on the admit card link. Entering asked details and submitting.
Now, let us take a look at the K lee result process and how they work. The results of this exam are announced every September or somewhere around this time. The results for the 3rd year students are announced first, followed by the 5 year students and then the LLM students.
The passing marks for the general category to qualify for the admission process in any college is 10 percent of marks. For example, if a candidate scores 100 out of 600, they qualify for the admission process. But the selection ultimately matters on the highest marks a candidate can get.
The highest marks for this year were 424, so a score of around 300 plus is the ideal target for most students to achieve. That is why students need to practice all of the subjects. And, decipher a pattern that is comfortable for them. The results are displayed on the official website of the exam conducting authority. The exams will be held for the duration of April 2022.
To check the results the candidates have to go to the official website and log in through their application ID and password. Then click on the course they have applied and a new window opens. Then click on the results option, which opens a new window. You will be asked to enter some details.
