About the JIPMER conducting authority
The JIPMER was earlier a separate entrance examination conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical Education and Research, in the Union Territory of Puducherry. Yet on April 2021 in a press meet the JIPMER said that there have been no separate entrance exam and the admission for the medical courses depend on the NEET scores of the candidate.
JIPMER Basic information
The JIPMER exam will come under the NTA and there will be no separate entrance exam for the JIPMER Admission. The mode of the exam will be online. The application fee for the exam depends on the category the candidate belongs to. The frequency of the examination is once a year for graduate courses and twice a year for post-graduate courses.

JIPMER Eligibility Criteria
JIPMER 2021 Application forms have been cumulated based on the candidates who will meet the standard eligibility criteria for JIPMER 2021 Exam. All the information regarding JIPMER 2021 Eligibility Criteria is given below. However, candidates should check the NEET eligibility criteria as JIPMER has been merged with the NEET.
Nationality
- The candidate should be a citizen of India
- NRI or Non-Resident Indian Candidates are required to be registered under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955. And present the proof of registration as OCI or Overseas Citizen of India at the moment of the submission of JIPMER 2021 Application form.
- For the candidates of Foreign Nationals, it is must to take permission from the Medical Council of India.
Age
- A candidate must complete a minimum of 17 years at the time of admission
- There will not be any relaxation for the candidate who belongs to the reserved category
Academic Qualification
- The candidate should have successfully passed their 12th class from a recognized board
- Candidates should pass their exam with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology
- He/she from general category must secure minimum 50% marks in aggregate and candidates from a reserved category like OBC, SC, ST, and OPH should secure minimum 40% marks in aggregate. Moreover, 45% of marks are required for those candidates who are from general and OPH category and have passed the exam with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology
However, the candidate who is going to appear for the final year exam in 10+2 or already appear for the exam but awaiting their final result can apply for the course.

The first step towards JIPMER exam is the registration process. The candidate has to go to the official website and complete the registration process.
1st Step
- Visit the official website of the institute i.e. jipmer.edu.in. Go through all the information regarding the online application and exam or others
- Go to the link “Apply online MBBS Admission 2021”
- Read the instruction
2nd Step
- Go to the registration form
- Fill the form by entering a valid email ID and mobile number
- After receiving the User ID and Password with a login link from the admin, click on the link and complete the registration process
3rd Step
- Enter the User ID and Password to log in
4th Step
- Click on the tab “Edit” on that page
- Fill up the form with all the required details
- Click on the “Submit” button to proceed
- Upload a scanned passport size photograph along with signature
- Upload the community certificate and PwD or Persons with Disability certificate (if applicable)
5th Step
- Pay the application fee by Net banking, Credit Card/Debit Card after redirecting to the option payment gateway
6th Step
- After successful completion of the payment process, the candidate is advised to take a print out of it

JIPMER Exam pattern
The Exam Mode is via online (computer-based) mode. And the number of Questions is 200 in the question paper. The Question paper consists of Multiple Choice Questions. The language medium is English and there will be total of 5 sections in the question paper. Each correct answer will consist of 4 marks.
JIPMER Admit Card
The Candidates who will fill the application form will have to download hall ticket before the examination. JIPMER Admit Card will be made available via online mode. It has been released in the last week of June 2021.

A. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) will not conduct a separate entrance test for admission to undergraduate Nursing and Allied Health Science courses this year. The selection of the students are on the basis of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET) score. However, the institute in a statement said, the counseling and admission processes for Bsc Nursing and allied Health Science courses will be conducted by JIPMER.
JIPMER applications have been made available in the June 2021. And the last date to submit the application form has been last week of June 2021.
