SAIL Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for SAIL Management Trainee (Technical) positions through GATE 2025 must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Educational Qualification:

  • Degree Requirement: A full-time B.Tech degree in any of the following disciplines: Civil, Chemical, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • Minimum Marks:
    • General/OBC (NCL)/EWS: Minimum 65% aggregate marks
    • SC/ST/PwD: Minimum 55% aggregate marks

Age Limit:

  • General category candidates must not be older than 28 years (born on or after July 25, 1996).
  • Age Relaxation:
    • OBC (NCL): 3 years
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • PwBD: 10 years

Medical Standards:

  • Should be in good physical health and free from any physical defects

SAIL Recruitment 2025 – Salary & Benefits

Pay Scale:
Candidates selected as Management Trainees (Technical) will be placed in the E-1 grade pay scale of ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000, with an initial basic pay of ₹60,000 during the one-year training-cum-probation period. Upon successful completion, they will be confirmed as Assistant Managers in the same pay scale.

Pay & Allowances:
In addition to basic pay, candidates will receive Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) at applicable rates, along with perks and allowances as per the cafeteria approach.

Variable Pay:
Performance-linked pay will be provided based on both individual and organizational performance.

Additional Benefits:
Employees will be entitled to Company/Leased Accommodation or HRA, medical facilities, group insurance, and other welfare benefits.

Superannuation Benefits:
