About PNB and PNB SO Exam

The Punjab national bank also said as the PNB is an Indian nationalized bank. Its headquarters is located in New Delhi, India. It is under the ownership of the ministry of finance, the government of India. The bank was founded in May 1984.

PNB is the second-largest government-owned bank in India, both in terms of its business volumes and its network.

Punjab national bank is a PSU that is working under the union government of India, which is regulated by the reserve bank of India act 1934 and the banking regulation act 1949.

The Punjab national bank was registered on 19th May 1984 under the Indian companies act. The founding board was drawn from the various parts of India professing different faiths and varying backgrounds.   • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Can be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee, who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the idea of getting permanently settled in India.
  • The people migrated from India, from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the united republic of Tanzania( formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
  • They should have the certificate of eligibility issued by the government of India.
  • The offer letter will be given only after the candidates submit the certificates to the bank. The certificates should be issued by the government of India.

PNB SO 2021 Exam pattern

The exam pattern for the PNB SO Manager and Senior manager are detailed below:

  • The PNB SO exam will be conducted in online mode.
  • This test is available in two languages, English and Hindi.
  • There will be 0.25 marks deducted from the question that is marked incorrectly.
  • The candidates need to clear the PNB SO written examination round in order to attend the final interview round.
  • The total marks allotted for the interview round are 35. The candidate needs to score at least 40% to clear the interview round.
  • The online examination scores and the interview scores are put together to calculate the final score.

PNB SO 2021 Admit Card

The PNB SO releases its admit card online. It will only be released on their official website and will not be sent through any emails or posts. They will issue separate admit cards for written and interview rounds. The candidate can download their admit cards 15 days before the exam date.

All the candidates who have cleared the written exams can download their admit cards from the official website link. It is compulsory to take the respective admit cards when they attend the examination center during exams and to the interview center.

How to apply for PNB SO?

This process can be done online mode. No other modes will be accepted. The applicant will have to follow the following procedure,

  • One applicant can apply for only one post.
  • Apply online through the website www.pnbindia.in.
  • Visit the official website of the Punjab national bank first.
  • On the homepage, click the click here for new registration.
  • Candidates need to have a valid personal email id and contact number. The email id and contact number should be kept active till the recruitment process is fully completed.
  • Because the bank will send call letters for the online test, interviews through the registered mail id.
  • Then, an email or SMS will be generated on the successful registration of the application. It will be sent to the candidate’s email id or mobile number which was specified in the application form as a system-generated acknowledgment.
  • Next, pay the application fee for your category.
  • Click on submit option.

Things to keep in mind while applying for PNB SO:

  • In case, the candidate does not have a valid mail id and contact number, then he/she needs to create one before applying online.
  • Candidates should have a scanned copy of their photographs and the signatures according to the specifications mentioned.
  • The candidates need to fill in all the details correctly and verify them many times as there won’t be changes allowed once the forms are submitted.
  • After clicking the final submit button, no changes are allowed.
