UGC NET Application Form 2024: Notification, Exam Dates & Updates

The National Testing Agency has given the charge to the University Grants Commission to conduct UGC NET to choose the candidates that are eligible for the post of assistant professor and junior research fellowship and assistant professor. The official notification of the UGC NET exam 2024 is released. The UGC Net Exam date is expected between June 10- June 21, 2024. UGC NET application form 2024 will be released after the notification. The UGC Net examination is conducted once in two years. The eligibility of the candidates for these two posts is decided by their performance in UGC NET Paper 1 and UGC NET Paper 2. It is to be kept in mind that the candidates who qualify only for the Assistant Professor post are not to be considered for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

In contrast, the candidates who qualify for JRF are governed by the laws of the assistant professor of a particular college, university, or institution. Qualifying for JRF exams is the dream of many teacher-aspiring students who wish to make their autonomous name in the field of teaching or further endorse their career in PhD. This is substantial only if you pass with the rank required for the post, and obtain minimum marks for the cut-off. All applicants must have a master’s degree in a notified subject with 55% marks or above, from some recognized university. Until June 2018 UGC NET exams were conducted by CBSE in 84 subjects across 91 countries but now it will be conducted by National Testing Agency.

As we all know UGC NET exams are conducted twice a year. However, during the tough times of COVID, the schedule of UGC NET 2021 in June was delayed. Therefore NTA decided to merge the UGC NET in the December 2021 exam with UGC NET 2022 in June 2022, to conduct both of them in CBT mode.

UGC NET Application Correction 2024

In case you have made mistakes in filling up the application forms, NTA provides you with a correction facility for all the registered candidates individually. The correction window will opened on the official website of UGC NET EXAM 2024. Applicants will not be allowed to correct the forms after the completion of the last date of the exam.

UGC NET Admit Card 2024

After the application procedure, every successful candidate receives an Admit Card released by NTA. you can get them on the official website. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without a valid UGC Net exam Admit Card.
