The National Testing Agency has given the charge to the University Grants Commission to conduct UGC NET examinations to choose the candidates that are eligible for the post of assistant professor and junior research fellowship and assistant professor. It is an examination that is conducted once in two years. The eligibility of the candidates for these two posts is decided by their performance in Paper1 and Paper2 of the UGC net by NTA. It is to be kept in mind that the candidates who qualify only for the Assistance professor post are not to be considered for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
In contrast, the candidates that qualify for JRF are governed by the laws of the assistant professor of a particular college, university, or institution. Qualifying for JRF exams is the dream of many teacher-aspiring students who wish to make their autonomous name in the field of teaching or further endorse their career in Ph.D. This is substantial only if you pass with the rank required for the post, and obtain minimum marks for the cut-off. All applicants must have a master’s degree in a notified subject with 55% marks or above, from some recognized university. Until June 2018 UGC NET exams were conducted by CBSE in 84 subjects across 91 countries but now it will be conducted by National Testing Agency.
As we all know UGC NET exams are conducted twice a year. But in these tough times of COVID, the schedule of UC NET 2021 in June has been delayed. Therefore NTA decided to merge UGC NET in December 2021 exam with UGC NET in June 2022, to conduct both of them in CBT mode.

On 30th APRIL,2022 an official notice has been released by UGC NETregistration and application for an exam. The last date to apply for the exam is May 20, 2022. The notifications provide all the details of the exams. The candidates are supervised to go through all the details very minutely before applying for the exam.

To complete the application procedure you have to pay the application fees. The application fees of UGC NET 2022 for candidates of different categories are given in the following table:

In case you have made mistakes in filling up the application forms, NTA provides you with a correction facility for all the registered candidates individually. The correction window was opened on the official website of UGC NET EXAM from May 21-23, 2022. Applicants will not be allowed to correct the forms after the completion of the last date of the exam.
After the application procedure, every successful candidate receives an Admit Card released by NTA. you can get them on the official website. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without a valid Admit Card.
