Courses Offered at State University of Performing and Visual Arts (SUPVA)
SUPVA Rohtak offers admission to various UG and PG courses. Nonetheless, the popular courses are BFA, BVA, B.Arch, B.Des, M.Des, and M.Plan. In addition to this, the curriculum of each course is set to inculcate the artistic sensibility as well artistic creativity in the students. Bachelor’s Course: At present, the State University of Performing Arts and Visual Arts runs 14 Under Graduate Degree level programs across four faculties. In other words, SUPVA offers 4 UG courses in the Faculty of Fine Arts, 4 in the Faculty of Design, 5 in the Faculty of Film and Television. On the contrary, the Faculty of Urban Planning and Architecture offers a Bachelor of Architecture program.
SUPVA Rohtak mandates an entrance examination for enrolling in the UG courses. To clarify, the university evaluates a candidate’s aptitude, general knowledge, art, and culture, as well as artistic skills, analytical skills, communication skills in the written test. Soon after this, the selected candidates appear for a skill test to evaluate the innovative ability of the candidates.
Master’s Courses: As a matter of fact, SUPVA launched 4 Post-Graduate programs from the session 2019-2020. Further, these new courses are Master in Fashion Design, Master in Mass Communication (Media Production), Master of Applied Arts, and Master of Planning (Urban & Regional). The Haryana government is planning to set up a Regional Centre in the Sonepat district. In addition to this, various courses in Humanities and Social Sciences, including Cultural and Folk Media Studies will be offered at SUPVA.
