GDS Salary: TRCA

the India Post Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) do not receive wages regularly or annually.  The wages are received according to the Time-Related Continuity Allowances (TCAs). That is to say, the salary is calculated based on the hours they serve. Therefore, the TRCA or Time-Related Continuity Allowance is the minimum salary the selected candidates receive. They only serve for 4 hours and 5 hours of duty. Therefore, they would only get the minimum salary or minimum Time-related continuity allowance (TRCA).

The Time-Related Continuity Allowance, or TRCA, has two slabs or levels. Firstly, it is the Minimum Time-related continuity allowance or Minimum TRCA for 4 hours of duty. Then, they receive a minimum salary or minimum TRCA. Category 2 is the minimum TRCA for 5 hours of duty.
