The syllabus for SSC JE gets divided into two categories.

Firstly, the syllabus for Paper 1 and Secondly, the syllabus for Paper 2. They get arranged by the SSC itself. The syllabus gets published on the official site of SSC in PDF format for both papers 1 and 2.

The syllabus for Paper 1 consists of three sections :

This section also consists of 50 questions. It deals with the current affairs of India and its neighboring countries. Moreover, the topics should be History, Geography, Culture. Also, on Economy, Politics as well as, scientific researches.

This section consists of 100 MCQ questions. Furthermore, the questions here come from either CE, or EE, or ME. Hence, it depends on the aspirants that what stream they want to choose.

SSC JE Exam Pattern

Paper 1 SSC JE Exam Pattern

This paper has MCQ questions. Also, they are computer-based as the exam happens in online mode.

Paper 1 has three sections. The first two sections are compulsory to clear for the aspirants. But, the 3rd section has three parts, i.e., A/B/C. So, the aspirants can choose any stream they desire from them. They can select CE or EE, or ME. There is a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer.

This paper 1 examines that the aspirant has any idea about general awareness.

Also, that whether the candidate is capable of becoming an engineer in the field they desire.

Paper 2 SSC JE Exam Pattern

This paper has descriptive questions. It takes place with a pen and paper. In this paper, the candidate has to answer questions on any one part. They have to choose from Part A (CE), Part B (EE), and Part C (ME). Hence, there is no negative marking in this paper. The aspirants can bring their

Preparation Tips

The tips for the students who will appear for the SSC JE Exam 2020-21 are :

  1. Firstly, the student should reach the exam center 1 hour before the exam starts.
  2. Secondly, the student must carry their admit card to the center. Otherwise, they would not get allowed to sit in the exam.
  3. Also, the student must not carry any electronic devices with them in the exam hall.
  4. Then, the student must not take any extra sheet for doing the rough work. The answer booklets will have margins separately done for the rough work.
  5. Furthermore, the student is not allowed to open the test booklet unless they get told.
  6. Also, there are some details in the answer sheet that the student must write correctly. The student can write wrong information. Then, there is a big chance that the student may not get the result.
  7. The student should encircle the correct answers darkly in the OMR sheet.
  8. Before starting the exam, invigilators give some tips to students. The student should listen to that carefully.
  9. Lastly, the student may not follow any instructions. Then they will get disqualified.
