TS ICET stands for T.S Integrated Common Entrance Test.  The T.S Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET) is the entrance exam for admission into MBA and MCA programs. The candidates who want to enroll in MBA/MCA programs in any of the universities under the T.S have to pass the TS ICET. The  Kakatiya Univ. of Warangal organizes the TS ICET exam. Kakatiya Univ. holds this exam on behalf of the T.S Council of Higher Education.

Before the separation of T.S. from A.P., the Kakatiya Univ. conducted ICET. Even after the separation, Kakatiya Univ. continues to be the exam authority. The name of the CET exam underwent a change from ICET to TS ICET. Unlike ICET, TS ICET is only for T.S.

The TS-ICET exam is for MBA and MCA programs. The list of the participating Universities are given below:

The TS ICET is a state-level Integrated Entrance Test. Kakatiya Univ. conducts the exams for students who want admission into colleges offering MBA and MCA programs. There is an online Aptitude Test which is the CBT model. The TS-ICET is conducted in authorized exam centers throughout the T.S. The Candidate is asked to choose from the Exam Centers according to their preference.

All the universities mentioned above participate in this entrance exam for their enrolment of students. This exam is held once a year at the beginning of the academic year. The students should keep a check on the website of TS ICET for updates on the entrance for that year. The fee for the open/general category candidates is Rs.650. The Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and the differently-abled candidates have to pay Rs.450 only.

TS ICET Notifications

Higher Education Department of T.S has announced the TS ICET for the year 2021. The Entrance Exam is held for two courses only. They are namely Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Comp. Application (MCA). The location for the Exam is the T.S. The web notification for the Exam of 2021 is available on their official website.

The tentative dates for the 2022 exam are said to be out. Check the table for reference.

Details regarding the rest of the phases of the exam in 2022 are still unavailable. It will be reflected here as the dates are announced. However, till then one can conjecture the time gaps seeing the details of the 2021 exam mentioned ahead in the description.


Some of the highlights/ notifications of the TS ICET Exam are:

  • The Answer key objection platform for TS-ICET 2021 closed on September 4th,
  • On 1st September 2021, the TS-ICET 2021 Answer Key is released.
  • The candidates can download the Response Sheet from the official website of TS ICET.
  • TS ICET 2021 Admit card released on 15 August 2021.

The application form is released on the official website of TS ICET. The application forms are to be submitted through online mode only. The candidates should keep a constant check on the official website of TS ICET for any new notification of the exam.

The Entrance Exam TS ICET is advertised in the national and regional newspapers as well. As and when the notification is released the interested candidates should apply online. The candidates should apply before the lapse of time.

TS ICET Exam date

TS-ICET exam date is what is being talked about here. The TS ICET is held by the Kakatiya Univ. every year on behalf of TSCHE. The schedule for the entire exam process is scheduled. The schedule is published well in advance of the Exam. The notification released by the TSCHE contains details of the TS ICET Exam. Details such as tentative dates of exams, exam process, counseling sessions, Admit Card, etc. are stated.


The TS ICET exam notification is announced via newspapers and the web on 3rd April 2021. The online applications are received from 7th April – 15th June 2021. However, there is still a chance to submit the application fee with a fine.


The details of the 2022 TS ICET exam date are yet unavailable. So, below is the tabular view of important notification details on TS ICET Exam 2021.

TS ICET Registration

The candidates have to fill the online application form for TS ICET online only. The TS ICET application forms are not available offline. The application form can be filled when the T.S Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad puts out a notification for receipt of the application.

The candidates should access the websites of the TSCHE for filling up the application form. The personal and educational details of the candidates should be filled in the application form as and when prompted. It is of utmost importance to correctly choose the category under which the candidate is applying. The candidates should upload the required documents when prompted on the website. The documents include a photo ID, signature, photograph, etc. After filling up the details, the webpage is redirected to the payment page.

The payment of prescribed fees should be made in either of the following two ways:

1. Either by TS Online /AP Online Centres in T.S and A.P


2. Payment gateway (Credit Card / Net Banking/Debit Card)

The payment of fees through the payment gateway may incur a service charge. The service charge should be paid by the candidate himself.

The prescribed fees for the TS-ICET Exam are as below stated:


1. Unreserved/ General/ Open/Others Rs.650
2. Differently Abled candidates/ST /SC Rs.450


Important Points to Remember

  1. No claim for refund of application fees submitted shall be made. It shall not be held to be processed for any other exam.
  2. The information entered by the candidate in the application fee form is noneditable.
  3. Please double-check the details entered before making the fee payment.


TS ICET Eligibility

The candidates who want to apply for the TS ICET 2022 Exam should check their TS ICET eligibility criteria. The eligibility rules are stated below:



  1. The candidates should be bearing Indian nationality.
  2. Those candidates who are not Indian nationals should follow the rules of their respective Universities.
  3. The non-local and local status requirements mandated in the A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 2074 are in line with:

  1. Those candidates in their final year exam are also eligible to apply for TS ICET.
  2. The admission to colleges under the Universities of T.S will depend upon the Recognition and affiliation by statutory bodies.
  3. The qualifying marks in the TS ICET is given below:


1. Differently Abled candidates/ST /SC No minimum marks were prescribed.
2. Unreserved/ General/ Open/Others 25 % of the total score


  1. Just passing the TS ICET Exam will not guarantee a seat for MBA or MCA course. The candidates should attend the counseling sessions at the notified centers. He/she should apply in keeping with admission notification of the concerned Authority. The candidate should satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria for admission to MBA/MCA courses.




The candidates have to meet the following criteria as well, for MBA admissions through TS ICET.

  1. The candidates should be graduate from recognized universities across T.S with 3 or 4 years of course duration.
  2. Courses like (B.Com /BBA/B.Sc /BCA/ BE / BE/ B. Tech/BBM. / B. Pharm.). It can also be any 3 / 4 year Degree course except for Oriental Langs.
  3. Marks relaxation has been granted to the reserved class by 5%. The qualifying marks are as follows based on categories:


1. Differently Abled candidates/ST /SC 45%
2. Unreserved/ General/ Open/Others 50%


  1. No age limit has been kept for applying for MBA courses through the TS ICET exam.



The criteria for each course differ from the others. The additional conditions stated are as follows for the MCA course.

  1. The candidates should be graduates with a bachelor’s degree e.g. BCA /B.Com/ B.Sc. /B.An etc.
  2. Along with the above condition, the candidate should have studied Mathematics at the HSC level or in Graduation.
  3. Marks relaxation has been granted to the reserved class by 5%. The qualifying marks are as follows based on categories:


1. Differently Abled candidates/ST /SC 45%
2. Unreserved/ General/ Open/Others 50%



The degree which is pursued through the Open Distance Learning (ODL) program or Distance Program is also a valid educational qualification. Provided it should be one recognized by AICTE, Joint Committee of UGC, and DEB/DEC as per UGC Regulations, 2013.


TS ICET Registration Process

Follow the below steps for successful completion of the TS ICET entrance exam.



The candidates are advised to first visit the TS ICET portal. On the portal page, there is an exam notification tab that will help the candidates to check their eligibility. By clicking on the tab, another window will open which will show links to web advertisements and newspaper advertisements.



Before moving to the application form, the candidates are prompted to register themselves. The candidates should verify the email ID and mobile number. Upon successful verification, the candidate shall receive and mail notification with the Login Id details.



With the login details created and generated by the system, the candidate should log in to their account. After logging in the candidate will be asked to fill up the application form. In the application form, there are personal details to be filled in. The candidate should fill up the educational details as well when prompted. Due care should be given when filling the application form. Appropriate details only should be filled up. Any wrong information will cancel the candidature.



The documents should be uploaded when asked for. The documents include a recent photograph and signature. A clear scanned copy of both should be uploaded.



After successful completion of filling up important details including the choice of exam city, the candidate should pay the fees. The fees are to be paid by the candidate:

1.      Either by TS Online /AP Online Centres in T.S. and A.P.


2.      Payment gateway (Credit Card / Net Banking/Debit Card)

A copy of the fee acknowledgment should be downloaded. Any technical glitch in payment should be put on notice by the exam authorities.


TS-ICET Syllabus

The details of the TS ICET syllabus have been given on the official TS ICET website. The candidates should well in advance go through the syllabus. According to the syllabus and marks distribution, an effective exam plan should be made. According to the sections, the marks distribution scheme is displayed online. The candidates should ensure that the whole syllabus is studied for the exam. The official website of TS ICET has exam details in the lower section. It is to be visited by the candidates applying for TS ICET Exam.

Though the entrance exam is for MBA and MCA courses the syllabus remains the same. There is no difference at all between the syllabus or exam pattern. The brief syllabus of the TS ICET exam has been given below:

TS ICET Exam Pattern

The exam syllabus forms a major part of the TS ICET exam pattern. The weightage for each topic is clearly given in the syllabus. The candidates should go through the syllabus thoroughly for assessing the pattern. For more clarity, the mock tests and previous year’s question papers can also be referred to. The exam pattern helps the candidate to create an effective exam preparation plan. The pattern of the exam is important because it helps foresee the question paper outline.


A few important information is given below:

  1. Duration of Exam: The TS ICET exam is for 150 minutes i.e. roughly two and a half hours (2.5 hrs).
  2. Exam Mode: The exam is to be held in online mode only.
  3. Medium: For section A and section B, questions are to be asked in English & Telugu langs. However, for Section C, questions are to be in the English lang. only.
  4. No. of Sessions: It will be conducted in two sessions. They are namely before noon session (F.N) and afternoon session (A.N).
  5. Number of Questions: A total of 200 questions will be asked in the TS-ICET exam.
  6. Scheme of Marks: For every correct answer marked, a candidate gets 1 mark.
  7. Questions Type: The format of questions is an MCQ pattern.

TS ICET Admit Card

The TS ICET Entrance exam is an annual exam held by  TSCHE. For the TS ICET Exam 2021, the notification was published on 3rd April 2021. The notification for a particular year’s exam is announced at the start of that year. The TS ICET Admit Card 2021 is available on the official website of TS ICET. Admit cards were made available from 15th August 2021. The TS-ICET for 2021 is scheduled for 19th and 20th August.

TS ICET Answer key

Before the TS ICET 2021 Exam result, the answer key of the exam is put out on the official website of the TS ICET. The answer key is released within few days after the exam. The candidates are free to download the answer key. They can have a quick comparison to assess the answers marked by them and the actual correct answers. And accordingly, the candidates can do a beforehand assessment of their answers and calculate their possible tentative score.


The original date notified for the release of the answer key, as per the TS ICET schedule was 27th Aug 2021. However, the preliminary key was released on the 1st of September 2021. And the same goes with the objections portal. The pre-notified date was 31st of August which later was revised to 4th September 2021.

However, the final results declared officially by the Kakatiya Univ. shall be valid for further procedure.


TS ICET Result

After the answer key is published, within a short duration itself the results of the TS ICET 2021 Exam are also announced on the official website of the TS ICET. The list containing the names of the candidates will be published. The candidates shall keep a regular check and access the official website of the TS ICET for updates on the exams and results. The candidates need to go around with the counseling session as well.

The aspirants should download a copy for themselves for future references. The candidates need to show a copy of the scorecard at the time of counseling.

The candidates have to pass the eligibility criteria for applying for the TS ICET under TSCHE. This criterion is always mentioned on the official notification of the TS ICET. The marks criteria for each category is given below:

A1: No, the application form can be filled online only.


Q2: Is the final revised date of the TS ICET 2021 exam notified?

A2: Yes, the newly revised date of the TS ICET Exam is 19th Aug and 20th Aug 2021. The exam has been conducted in shifts. There is a before noon (F.N) shift and an afternoon (A.N) shift. The candidate should check their Admit cards for their shift timings.
