Basic Information About Dayananda Sagar University

Established in 2014, Dayananda Sagar University has been named after the founder  Late Shri Dayananda Sagar. Courses offered by the university are arts, science, technology, and various engineering courses. The university ranks 58 among the institutions offering engineering all across Karnataka.

DSAT 2022

DSAT 2022 is a qualifying entrance and admission test for different courses. Candidates can appear for this test multiple times. The exam is held in both online and offline modes. Students have to appear for computer-based tests (CBT) or pen and paper-based tests (PBT) in case of online and offline exams respectively.

DSAT Eligibility Criteria for 2022

Eligibility criteria for each course under DSAT Exam are different. The minimum eligibility for each UG course is a 10+2 exam or any equivalent exam. The eligibility for all the courses is as follows:

For Undergraduate Program

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)

• Candidate must have passed PUC/CBSE/ICSE/10+2 from a recognized school or board with physics and maths as major subjects
• The candidate must have scored 45% for general and OBC categories and 40% or above for the reserved category
• Besides maths and physics, the candidate must have studied Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Electronics or English.

Bachelor of Pharmacy

• The candidate must have passed a two-year PUC or any similar exam from a recognized board.
• The candidate must have scored 40% in one of the combinations – PCM, PCB, PCMB, PC & Computer Science or PC & Electronics..

For Postgraduate Program

Master of Technology (M.Tech)

• The candidate must have passed BE/B.Tech from a recognized board or university.
• Candidates must have scored at least 50% of marks at the graduation level.

MBA

• Candidate must have passed bachelor’s from a recognized board or university.
• The candidate must have scored 50% for the general category and 45% for the OBC/SC/ST category.

DSAT Application Form for 2022

Applicants can apply for DSAT 2022 Application forms in both online and offline modes. Follow the below-mentioned steps to fill out the examination form.

Online Application Form

1. Candidates can fill out the online application form available on the university website.
2. Register with an email and phone number.
3. Click on “Fill Online Application Form” and enter the required details.
4. After filling in the form candidates must upload their photo and signature.
5. After successful completion of the online form, the candidate can proceed with payment.
6. Candidates can submit fees and download the filled application form.
7. It is advisable to keep a printout of the form for future reference. 

Offline Application Form

1. Download the DSAT 2022 application form from the university website. 
2. Take a printout of the form.
3. Fill in the required details and attach a recent passport size photograph.
4. Submit the application form printout along with the fees at the University.

DSAT Application Fee

After filling out the form, candidates have to submit the online or offline application fee.  Both modes are available for students.

The steps to submit an online fee are as follows:

1. Visit the DSU official website
2. Click on the payment button
3. After that, click on proceed to payment
4. HDFC Bank portal will open
5. Select the fee, state, city and name of the institution
6. Click on pay online and enter your application number
7. Enter your credit/debit card details
8. Process the payment

The fee payment should be done at the university fee counter in case of an Offline application.

DSAT Exam Pattern

Candidates must carefully go through the exam pattern to make a strategy and prepare for the exam. The pattern of DSAT 2022 differs from course to course. The medium to give the examination is English only.

There will be 120 objective type questions, where each question will carry four options. The duration of the examination will be 100 minutes i.e. 2 hours. Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark and there is no negative marking. Here are the highlights of the DSAT exam pattern.

DSAT Syllabus for 2022

Students must check the DSAT Exam syllabus carefully. For the undergraduate courses, questions will be from Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry of the 11th and 12th level syllabus. The PG courses will contain questions from the branch of specialization to test the general knowledge, aptitude and reasoning skills of the candidate. 

Syllabus for Undergraduate Courses

The level of questions for degree courses will be 10+2.  Candidates will get four sections in the question paper.  The list of important subjects is as follows:

1. English – Fill ups, Paragraph reading, Similar words, Opposite words, Error spotting, etc.
2. Maths – Profit and Loss, Time and Work, Number System, Interest, etc.
3. Physics – Gravity, Laws of Motion, Energy, Waves and Oscillations, Atoms, etc.
4. Chemistry – Matter, Properties of Matter, Compounds, Chemicals, etc.

Syllabus for Postgraduate Courses

The level of questions for postgraduate courses will be 10+2+3.  Candidates will get four sections in the question paper. The list of important subjects is as follows:

1. General Knowledge – History, Geography, Polity, Current affairs, etc.
2. Maths – Profit and Loss, Time and Work, Number System, Interest, etc.
3. English – Fill ups, Paragraph reading, Similar words, Opposite words, etc.
4. Reasoning – Logical reasoning

DSAT Admit Card 2022

The university will release the admit card on the official website.  Students will get admit cards online mode on the DSU official website. The Hall Ticket can be downloaded using the Registration number and Date of Birth. Any discrepancy can be reported to the authorities via the university’s official website.

Students must carry admit cards to the examination centres. It is advisable to keep the hard copy safe until the entire admission process is completed. Candidates must check the website regularly for updates.

DSAT Result 2022

DSAT Result 2022 will be declared by Dayananda Sagar University online. Candidates who qualify for the exam will be eligible for further counselling/ admission rounds based on their rank obtained in the examination. The result will also be disclosed through phone calls and SMS. Students are advised to keep checking the website regularly after exams to know their results. 

DSAT Counseling 2022

A counselling session will be organized after the result declaration for all those who qualify for the exam. It is compulsory to appear for the counselling round to complete the further process of admissions. All candidates are required to produce the original and 2 photocopies of documents in this round. The University will retain these documents until the candidate completes the course.
