ANUPGCET is for admissions to PG programs. The exam is held by Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU). ANU holds the exam for admission to different PG programs. It includes Science, Arts & Social Studies, Commerce, Education & Teaching, Languages, and other PG courses. The ANUPGCET is a university-level admission test that is held once a year. The exam is conducted offline, using pen and paper. The length of the exam is 90 minutes. The format of the ANUPGCET is MCQ. The test is given in English and Telugu. Acharya Nagarjuna University or ANU is a state university founded in 1976. The University began with only ten PG programs. It has made a huge success since then. This has been made possible by the work of its committed professors. ANU now provides PG education in 47 courses.

The university has about 450 affiliated colleges. ANU has developed into a big university with 39 Departments. It includes many self-financed courses that began in 1992. It was expanded to three districts. ANU currently has 450 associated colleges that provide UG and PG degrees. On-campus, there are now 39 PG teaching and research programs. 71 associated colleges are offering P.G. courses. The University operates two P.G. facilities. One is in Ongole and the other in Nuzvid.

The University offers job-related courses at the degree and PG levels. Autonomy was granted to four institutions by the UGC in New Delhi. The University guarantees high quality of education. There is a rise in the number of students enrolling each year. Therefore, the University has been working to maintain its standards.

The aim of the College is teaching and research. The different research programs include both basic and applied topics. Academic Departments strive to achieve harmony between knowledge and its use in a more tangible form. The research programs and course material address these challenges and seek answers.

  • Candidates must have graduated from a recognized university with a minimum of 50%.
  • Candidates who passed their qualifying exams or took the final year examination in March/April 2021 are also eligible to take the exam.

Reservations for ANUPGCET:

  • Fixed Reservations: Those candidates which used their reservations must submit the caste certificate of reservations. SC- 15%, ST- 6%, Backward Communities- 29%.
  • Other Reservations:
  1. For Sports quota Applicants: 0.5%
  2. NCC quota Applicants: 1%
  3. For Physical Challenged Applicants: 3%
  4. For Children of Armed Personnel: 2%
  5. Female candidates: 33.3%


  • Local Applicants Reservation:

There is a reservation of 85% in every one of the categories and every one of the courses just for the local applicants. Applicants who have a place from Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, and Prakasam are counted for this booking. Applicants applying through this category should deliver their declaration certificate.


Registration Process

  • To fill the registration form, the candidate must visit the official website.
  • When the portal is open,  fill in all required details with the proper information.
  • After completing the registration form, the applicants get an OTP on their registered mobile number.
  • Select the courses which applicants want to apply for.
  • Applicants are then required to enter all details like the Name, Date of Birth, Permanent address, Parents’ name, and other details.
  • Applicants should also fill in the email address and telephone number.
  • The next step is to upload the scanned photo and signature.
  • Tick in the Terms & Conditions.
  • Click on the preview button to preview the applications.
  • Applicants can edit the application if any information is entered wrong.
  •  Save and Print the ANUPGCET form and submit it.

  • The ANUPGCET 2021 test will have 100 objective-type questions. Applicants must pick just one right answer.
  • The exam will be administered using pen and paper.

  • There will be no negative marking for incorrect responses.
  • Candidates must write their responses solely on the OMR sheet given.
  • Use a black ballpoint pen.

The University will issue the admit cards to candidates in the first week of May 2021. Only applicants who have submitted their online application form and completed the application fee payment will receive the admit card.

The admit card will have the following information:

  • Candidate’s name
  • Roll number
  • Photo
  • Signature
  • Exam venue
  • Date of the exam


The candidates who do not have an admit card will be unable to take the exam.

Candidates will be able to download and print the admit card once it is made available on the University’s website. The candidates can obtain their admit cards via the University’s official website. The procedure for downloading the admit card is below.

  • Visit the University’s official website.
  • Enter your Registration Information.
  • Click on the link to download the Admit Card. The admit card will be shown on the screen.
  • Download and print the file.



The result of the exam is announced on the authority site. The ANUPGCET 2021 results will be released in June of 2021. It will be available on the University’s official website.

The following are the processes for downloading the rank card:

  • Visit the University’s website.
  • Select the Download Rank Card option.
  • Enter your Admit Card Number and your Date of Birth.
  • Click on Submit button.
  • Save the file.
  • Make a copy for yourself for future reference.
  • Candidates will be able to view their test performance on the rank card. It will show the candidate’s rank and score.



The order of merit will be determined depending on the results of the admission exam. The tie will be resolved based on the marks. Any other tie will be resolved by marks obtained in the qualifying exam’s group topics. Still, if a tie exists, it will be determined based on the date of birth, favoring older applicants.



Q1.  Are UG courses available under ANUPGCET?

A. No, applicants can gain admission to PG programs provided by the institution and its colleges through ANUPGCET.


Q2. How many times is the exam held each year?

A. The ANUPGCET is only held once a year. It is held usually in June.


Q3. Can students from other states take the exam?

A. The majority of the seats are allocated for state candidates. A few slots are reserved for students from other states. If you get a decent rank, your chances of getting a seat increase.


Q4. Does ANU offer a Master of Social Work program?

A. The university provides a Master of Social Work. To be admitted to the program, students must pass the ANUPGCET.


Q5. How can I apply for PG Diploma courses?

A. To be admitted to PG Diploma programs, applicants must pass the ANUPGCET.


Q6. What are the admission requirements for MSc?

A. The candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Science from a recognized university with a minimum of 55 percent overall.


Q7. Will the admission exam be rechecked?

A. The OMR sheet will be scanned by the computer. There will be no rechecking.


Q8. How long does the ANUPGCET exam last?

A. The ANUPGCET lasts 90 minutes.


Q9. How many seats are for ST?

A. 6% of tickets are for ST. 15% is set aside for SC. The remaining 29% is set up for OBC.


Q10. When will I receive my admit card?

A. The ANUPGCET admit card will be released on a certain day.


Q11. Will the admit card be mailed to me?

A. The applicant must download their ANUPGCET admit card after checking in with their official ID. Candidates will not be able to obtain their admit cards in any other way.


Q12. Can I get the admit card over the phone?

A. The candidate must print the admit card and bring it with them to the exam center. Without the admit card, the applicant would be denied entry.


Q13. What is the tie-breaker for the same rank?

A. If two applicants have the same position on the merit list, the older candidate will be given preference.


Q14. How can I view my rank card?

A. To log in, the candidate must go to the official site and input their registration number and date of birth. The candidate can check their rank card and download it.


Q15. How is the cutoff list made?

A. Cut-off lists will be created based on the scores. It also depends on the number of students who took the exam. Candidates must attend the counseling session if they meet the cut-off.
