UKPSC Eligibility

Each candidate must meet the following requirements to be eligible to take the exams:

1. Age

• As of 01st July 2023, the candidate’s age shall fall between 21 and 42.

• Relaxation: For OBC, it is 3 years

• For SC/ST, it is 5 years

2. Educational Qualification

• The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a reputed university.
• For the position of Sahayak Nagar Niyojak, candidates must possess a post-graduate certificate in town and architect planning or associate membership of the educational institution, American Institute of Town, Institute of Town Planner, or Institute of Town Planner (India).
• To be eligible to apply for the position of District data official/Feature author, applicants must have completed their undergraduate degree with Hindi as a major.

3. Nationality

• The applicant must be a resident of India. 
• Tibetan refugees who arrived in India and established permanent residence here before 1962 may also apply. However, these candidates must possess a pertinent certificate from the authorities.
• Competitors from countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, and the United Republic of Tanzania who arrive in India to permanently relocate here are, on the whole, qualified. However, even they are required to have a state-issued eligibility certificate.

UKPSC Exam Pattern

The UKPSC test has two levels. Candidates must pass both the Preliminary and Main Examinations to be selected, according to the UKPSC test structure. Shortlisted applicants for the Mains exam are those who passed the Preliminary exam. If the individual is chosen after the interview and they pass the Mains exam, they will then be sent to training.

1. UKPSC Prelims Exam Pattern

The preliminary exam is a paper-and-pencil test with two papers. Both papers of the exam, which are taken offline, have objective-style questions.

The general studies paper is the first assignment. Every question has one mark. The second exam consists of 100 questions and gauges the student’s aptitude. Each question is worth 1.5 points.

2. UKPSC Mains Exam Pattern

The UKPSC Prelims Exam cutoff marks are used to further narrow down the field of candidates before the main exam.

• The main exam consists of a subject paper that is completed in offline form.
• Seven papers are worth 200 points, except for the language paper, which is worth 300 points.
• All of the exams include subjective question types.
• Each right response is worth 1.5 points.
