The selection process for the UPSSSC Lekhpal 2023 is carried out in the following ten easy steps:
The UPSSC releases the official notification containing all the necessary details regarding the Lekhpal exam. These details include exam dates, eligibility criteria, syllabus etc.
Interested candidates should carefully read the notification and apply for the exam online. Once the application form is filled in, a unique Registration Number is allocated to the applicant.
15 days before the exam date, admit card is released on the official website of UPSSSC, upsssc.gov.in for the applicants whose applications have been approved by the board.
As per the dates mentioned in the UPSSSC Lekhpal notification, the written exam is conducted at the allotted exam centres across UP. However, the exam dates may sometimes vary from the ones in the notification.
After successfully conducting the exam, UPSSSC releases the answer key. The board decides a date for filling an objection(s), if any, in the answer key. If the objection(s) are found valid, the board makes the correction in the answer keys accordingly.
Within a few weeks after correcting the answer keys, the final results for the UPSSSC Lekpal exam are announced.
After a few days to weeks of announcement of results, the UPSSSC Lekhpal cut-off is issued.
The ones who qualify for the cut-off are placed in the merit list. In this merit list, category-wise reservation, upper-age candidates and the alphabet of their name are arranged in order of preference.
After this, all the candidates included in the merit are called for verification of all their documents on the scheduled date.
Once all the documents are verified and found correct, the candidate receives the appointment letter. In this appointment letter, instructions to get training and information about the place and time of training are provided.

The UPSSSC Lekhpal 2023 exam follows a specific marking scheme. The exam consists of 100 objective-type questions, and each question carries one mark. However, there is a negative marking for wrong answers. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect response.

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) conducts the Lekhpal exam for the post of Lekhpal in the Revenue Department of Uttar Pradesh annually. The exam consists of four sections General Hindi, maths, general knowledge, rural development and rural society. The exam consists of 100 questions.
Only a single-stage exam is conducted in the UPSSSC Lekhpal exam. The exam tests the candidate’s knowledge of General Hindi, Maths, General Knowledge, and rural development and rural society subjects. The Lekhpal exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and is held on an annual basis.
The qualification of Lekhpal in UP is as follows:
1 Age: The candidate must have attained the age of 18 years as of 1st July of the year in which the notification for the exam is released. The upper limit for the exam is 40 years. However, there is age relaxation for reserved categories as per government norms.
2 Education: The candidate must have completed the 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
The Pay Band and the Pay scale of the UPSSSC Lekhpal are Rs. 5200-20200 and Rs. 2000 respectively. The Basic Pay of Lekhpal is Rs. 21,700. After DA, HRA, TA and other allowances, the gross salary per month may range from Rs. 29,200 – Rs. 92,300.
