Chegg is seeking nursing professionals to evaluate AI clinical content, build reference-standard answers, and stress-test AI safety behavior on high-risk clinical scenarios. Fully remote and asynchronous.
Core Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated responses to nursing, patient-care, and EHR workflow questions for accuracy, reasoning quality, and completeness
- Write reference-standard answers and step-by-step clinical rationales with correct clinical documentation and evidence-based practice standards and clear explanations that AI models learn from
- Identify hallucinations, incorrect dosing, unsafe assumptions, or outdated protocols in AI-produced content, tagging the specific error category
- Compare and rank multiple AI responses to the same problem, explaining which best reflects safe, guideline-concordant practice
- Test whether AI systems handle high-risk clinical prompts (e.g., overdose questions, self-treatment requests) safely, refusing or redirecting where appropriate
- Create realistic synthetic patient case studies (history, symptoms, labs, diagnostic questions) used to train and evaluate models
- Contribute to rubric design — defining scoring criteria such as clinical accuracy, guideline adherence, and patient-safety risk — used to benchmark AI performance at scale
- Complete asynchronous task batches independently — no scheduled calls or fixed hours required
Key Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Nursing, Nursing Informatics, or a related clinical field (or equivalent recognized qualification); relevant experience is a plus — postgraduate and doctoral graduates welcome
- Active Registered Nurse license (or international equivalent) with hands-on patient care or clinical informatics experience
- Practical familiarity with at least one major EHR system — Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or a comparable global platform
- Sharp eye for subtle factual, logical, or methodological error — can detect and explain flawed reasoning in plain English
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable delivering quality work asynchronously
Nice to Have
- Certification in nursing informatics or health IT — ANCC Informatics Nursing, CPHIMS (HIMSS, globally recognized), or an equivalent international credential
- Understanding of HL7 FHIR or other clinical interoperability frameworks
- Prior involvement with digital health programmes, telehealth platforms, or AI-assisted clinical decision-support tools
