The Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board has opened posts for eligible candidates. However, candidates have to clear the NET exam to avail such posts. The qualifying candidates will then be eligible for various posts under the ASRB.

ASRB NET exam is Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board National Eligibility Test. It is a National level examination. The ASRB NET is all India based competitive exam. It is organized to recruit candidates for entry-level posts. The exam mode will be online. There is no offline mode of the examination. The time duration used in the examination is 2 hours. The exam will be conducted in bilingual languages in English and Hindi languages. Hence, it is a bilingual examination. The ASRB NET exam is conducted once a year only, i.e. annually.

About the Conducting Body

The conducting body of the ASRB NET exam is Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board. The Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board receives ASRB NET applications every year. It is also known as ICAR NET (Indian Agricultural Research Council NET). This exam is administered to recruit Lecturers / Assistant Professors at State Agricultural Universities. It also offers such posts at other Agricultural Colleges/Universities too. ICAR is an organization under Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Government of India.

ASRB NET Exam Eligibility Criteria

It is very important to check your eligibility score before applying for the ASRB NET exam. Here, we provide complete details on the ASRB NET eligibility criteria. Candidates must have the required educational qualifications. Furthermore, he/she must also meet the age criteria to apply for the ASRB exam.

Eligibility Criteria for Nationality

To apply for the ASRB National Eligibility Test, candidates must be either:

  • Citizens of India.
  • Or citizens of Nepal. Or
  • Citizens of Bhutan.
  • Moreover, Tibetan refugees, who arrived before January 1, 1962.

Eligibility Criteria for Age Limits

Candidates applying for the ASRB 2021 exam must meet the age criteria in the official notice. The age standards are as follows:

  • Candidates applying for STO positions must be 21 years old and under 35 years old, by April 25, 2021.
  • ICAR employees have no age limit.
  • Candidates of the reserved category are provided a relaxation of the upper age limit

Eligibility Criteria for Educational Qualifications

Candidates must have a master’s degree certificate on or before September 19, 2021. He/she can also have an equivalent certificate in a relevant subject.

Notification

The ASRB NET notice was issued on March 30, 2021. The ASRB NET application process has begun on April 5, 2021. The deadline for submitting the ASRB NET 2021 application form is May 10, 2021. On May 29, 2021, the organizer issued a notice regarding the postponement of exams. This was due to the Covid-19 impact. It is now scheduled from August 23 – Sept. 19, 2021.

  • Step 3: Click New Registration and complete here the registration process.
  • Step 4: Then you can receive the registration number and the password in your registered email id.
  • Step 5: Log in with your credentials and click Apply Now.
  • Step 6: Fill out your application form and continue uploading files.
  • Step 7: Upload all the required good-quality documents and submit them.
  • Step 8:Continue with the application fee payment process. Pay your application fee online through any of the options provided.
  • Step 9: After successfully paying the fee, keep the soft copy of the application form. Also, keep the fee payment receipt for future references.

ASRB NET Exam Pattern

 

The ASRB NET exam is done in online mode. Looking at the ASRB NET exam pattern, it is obvious that candidates must answer a total of 150 questions. They have to cover all the questions in 120 minutes. Each question will be of 1 mark score. The exam contains a negative scoring system too. 1/3 points will be cut for each wrong answer.

The Question Paper

The questions will be from the subjects only a candidate has applied for. ASRB has designated the ASRB NET syllabus for each subject. The question paper level is of master’s degree. The question papers are available in two languages- English and Hindi. If any discrepancy in any question paper, the English language will be given priority.

After the exam is completed, ICAR will announce the results of the ASRB NET 2021 exam. They will soon publish the result on its website. Selection Procedure

The selection procedure of the ASRB NET 2021 exam will be based on the merit of the candidates. To get selected the candidates need to clear the Prelims exam first. Then the qualified candidates of the Prelims have to pass out the Mains exam. Afterward, the candidates will be shortlisted based on secured marks in the examination.
