Ministry of Railways conducts RPF SI exams in 3 stages-
Candidates who clear the CBT i.e. computer-based test then move on to the next stage of the physical efficiency test and physical measurement test. Combine results of all three forms the final result of the RPF SI exam. In CBT candidates appear for one paper with 3 different sections-
PET and PMT are conducted in the second stage. Candidates can be called up to 10 times for the physical efficiency test i.e. PET. CRC recalls candidates in case there are vacant seats. There are no marks for PET and PMT i.e. Physical measurement test. These are qualifying rounds. For PET, candidates are required to clear high jump, long jump, and run tests. These tests are different for female and male applicants. Therefore final score for the result of RPF SI is also different.
Ex-servicemen are not required to appear for PET but they need to appear got PMT.
Once candidates clear PET and PMT, they have to appear for document verification and medical exam. Candidates would need to bring all original documents and follow all the instructions that CRC gives them. It is compulsory for the candidates to be present for the document verification or they are disqualified.
Railways announce the result of RPF SI on their website. Candidates can check these using their registration numbers and passwords. These results are only announced on the official website. No newspaper or job portal announces them. Therefore all candidates must keep visiting the website regularly.
For the latest cycle, CRC has not announced RPF SI exams. Therefore all the subsequent dates are also not declared yet including the result date for RPF SI exams. Following is the exam calendar-

Candidates will be able to check their results only on the official website of the ministry of railways. Candidates must follow these simple steps-
Once the result is declared, candidates will be informed about their physical efficiency test and physical measurement test. These tests are not conducted on the same date always. These can be conducted over a period of time and on different dates for different groups. Each group has 4-5 different railway zones.

Cut-off marks are the minimum marks that a candidate needs to score in order to get selected for the next round. In RPF SI, different railway zones are divided into different groups. Each of these groups has different cut-off marks. These cut-off marks are different for male and female applicants of different categories.
RPF SI exams for the year 2021 are not declared yet. To have a better understanding of cut-off marks for the result of RPF SI, we can look at the cut-off marks for different groups for last year. All the railway zones are divided into 6 groups.

Similarly, cut-offs for the rest of the groups are divided into different categories.
Since PET and PMT do not have a marking system, the cut-off is declared only for the CBT. Rest all are qualifying exams only.
Cut-off marks are released with the result itself. When the result is declared, it has the basic details about the candidates like their name and father’s name, etc. The result of RPF SI also mentions the zone and group that a candidate belongs to. Candidates can check the cut-off of their group. there is a group-wise announcement of cut-off marks. Each group has different zones in it. To know their cut-off marks, candidates must check their own group.
Candidates can get the cut-off list on the official website of the ministry of railways.
Cut-off marks for different zones are different; it is based on the highest marks scored by a candidate in that zone. Previous years’ trends do not affect the cut-off marks of the current cycle.

No, both these exams are qualifying exams. All the candidates should clear them.
In case there are two candidates with the same final marks in RPF SI result, CRC will place candidates with higher age i.e. the older candidate higher on the merit list.
