DONT'S OF GROUP DISCUSSION IN INTERVIEWS

Group discussions can be tacky to tackle, especially if don’t know what you shouldn’t do. Here are some DONT’S of Group Discussion in Interviews.

Don’t start any conversation without listening first, listen, understand and then respond if you have any input to include.

Listen First

Avoid getting distracted from the topic of discussion, try adding only relevant points which correlate with the main topic.

Add Relevant Points Only

Don’t repeat what other participants have already said. Try adding your point of view, and if you don’t have anything at that point. Listen then respond.

Do Not Repeat

Interrupting others in the mid-discussion is a big no-no. Not only it's disrespectful towards the person but can also break the flow of conversation.

Do Not Interrupt Others

Don’t stay silent. Group discussions are successful when everyone contributes, so speak your mind with relevant talks.

Don't be Silent

Closed-off body language is a sign that you are not confident and not interested in the conversation. Sit straight smile often, and be comfortable..
