A- It is a very old and reputed engineering college of Punjab and it got its deemed status in the year 2003. And it becomes twice close to being recognized as an IIT, however, according to some reports it is not true that PEC is becoming an IIT.

A- The Thapar University provides better infrastructure and other facilities as compared to PEC. Both these institutions are good in terms of placement, however, the fee structure of Thapar university is a bit high in comparison to Punjab Engineering College.
