Infrastructure at the IIT Dharwad
Hostel
IIT Dharwad, provides accommodation for both girls and boys on its campus. The hostel presently accommodates 150 students. Students are provided with spacious rooms with all the basic facilities such as beds, bathroom, closet, and so on. In addition to that, the hostel provides a dining hall and recreational facilities. Moreover, the students are also provided with an internet facility.
Library
The University provides education even outside its classrooms for students who are eager to learn more through its Library. The IIT Dharwad, has a library with a huge collection of books ranging from all times to all subjects such as management, law, commerce, chemistry, and so on. These books provide the students with the additional knowledge they need to stand out. The Library also provides a common ground for students of all age groups and courses to come together to enhance their knowledge.
Sports Complex
Sports play a very important role in maintaining the fitness and overall development of the student. Keeping this view in mind the Indian Institute of Management, Dharwad, provides various sports facilities to its students such as a football ground and a tennis court. Additionally, the students are presented with numerous sports opportunities, such as taking part in intercollege and interdepartmental events and competitions.
Labs
Classrooms and lectures only provide children with technical and theoretical learning. However, the Indian Institute of Management, Dharwad, provides practical learning to its students by giving them lab opportunities. The institute has a chemistry lab, computer lab, and physics lab. In addition to that, the University also provides its students with an engineering graphics lab and structures and algorithms lab.
Cafeteria
Any University needs to provide good quality fresh food to its students so that the students don’t have to travel much for food and it becomes convenient for them to eat according to their convenience. Following this ideology, the University provides a cafeteria with various cuisines and food choices for all its students and teachers. The cafeteria is open for the whole day with a special cook to cater to students of all needs.
Other Facilities
Not only does the Indian Institute of Management, Dharwad, provide its students with a hostel, Library, labs, sports complex, and a cafeteria, but it also offers its students a gym inside the campus to maintain fitness. Moreover, medical facilities are provided to students in times of need or emergency. Also, the University provides its students with a free Wi-Fi campus. This helps in additional learning and makes e-learning possible.
